On the afternoon of November 30, in Hanoi, the Government Cipher Committee and the Vietnam Blockchain Association signed a memorandum of understanding to promote the strengths of both sides in research activities, proposing management policies, promoting applications and education, training, and popularizing blockchain technology in Vietnam.

In his opening speech, Major General Vu Ngoc Thiem, Head of the Government Cipher Committee, highly appreciated the activities of the Vietnam Blockchain Association in recent times as well as the great potential of blockchain technology in the future. The Government Cipher Committee is actively approaching this new technology in the direction of research and technology development, building a foundation for innovation and development of the Vietnamese cryptography industry to move straight to modernity, while contributing to promoting socio-economic development and ensuring national security.

“In that context, the Vietnam Blockchain Association is an important and strategic partner, playing the role of a bridge between state agencies and the domestic and foreign communities to support and promote research activities, develop blockchain technology and applications of national scale, contributing to positive changes in the 4.0 revolution that Vietnam is pursuing,” Major General Thiem shared.

Mr. Nguyen Doan Hung, Vice President of Vietnam Blockchain Association, emphasized that the extensive cooperation between the two sides will promote the innovation and development of new technology application products such as Blockchain technology, BigData, AI (artificial intelligence) and IoT (Internet of Things) and is a premise to contribute responsibly to significant changes in the current 4.0 revolution.
