The workshop provided UEL students and lecturers with an insight into blockchain technology, modern legal thinking and career orientation in the field of financial technology (fintech) – one of the fastest growing creative economic sectors today.
At the workshop, many students expressed concerns about the future orientation and career opportunities of the industry; skill requirements and development direction of the crypto asset market...
Associate Professor Dr. Le Vu Nam, Vice Rector of the University of Economics and Law, commented that blockchain technology is becoming a revolutionary platform in the global digital transformation process. With its decentralized, transparent and highly secure characteristics, blockchain is not only the infrastructure of crypto assets but also opens up new governance and business models from finance, logistics to education and healthcare.
However, this field also faces many challenges in information security, cyber security and legal framework. Therefore, the school hopes that the program will help students update technology trends, identify risks and orient career opportunities in the fields of blockchain, fintech and lawtech.

According to CoinMarketCap, the global crypto asset market is currently worth $3.78 trillion, with over 600 million users and over 25 million crypto asset projects. This value could rise to $10 trillion by 2030, according to a forecast by JPMorgan Chase.
Vietnam is currently in the top 3 in the Asia- Pacific region and top 7 in the world in terms of crypto asset participation with more than 17 million users, attracting more than 220 billion USD in capital flows in the period 2024-2025 (Chainalysis).
Mr. Tran Huyen Dinh, Chairman of the Fintech Application Committee (VBA), said that along with that development, the crypto-asset market is currently seriously lacking in human resources capable of operating and managing the system. The cost of hiring a tech-savvy lawyer can be up to 40,000 USD/month, but the supply is still scarce.
"Therefore, UEL students need to seize the opportunity, with a solid legal foundation and technological mindset being trained, they are rare seeds, capable of becoming key factors in the field of blockchain and crypto assets in the future," Mr. Dinh emphasized.

According to Dr. Trinh Thuc Hien, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Economic Law (UEL): When blockchain, crypto assets or AI spread strongly, traditional law training is no longer suitable. The new generation of legal human resources must have interdisciplinary thinking, understand the nature of technology and social impact, and dialogue with technology engineers to build solutions for "responsible innovation".
ABAII Unitour is an initiative developed by VBA and the ABAII Institute to disseminate knowledge about new technologies and legal frameworks to the student community. In 2024, the program organized 26 events at 25 universities across the country, to disseminate knowledge about blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI).
ABAII Unitour 2025 expands its focus to the legal and governance aspects of crypto assets in Vietnam, updates the progress of national policy completion, the development of AI, aiming to help the young generation be ready to enter the era of comprehensive digitalization and international integration.
