Sharing after knowing the result, the female boxer from Hanoi said that this gold medal is extremely special, it is a memorable milestone marking her turning 30 years old.
"I remember in 2013 I won the gold medal in Myanmar, opening the way for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation. 10 years later I am still here competing and shining, this makes me feel proud," the SEA Games champion shared.
"After completing the second test, I felt very comfortable and was sure that I would get a medal.
As always, taking one test is easier than taking two, but what is difficult for others is difficult for us. I try to do my best," Thuy Vi shared.
Fans who have followed Vi over the years have seen her often wearing yellow and white outfits when competing.
However, at SEA Games 32, Vi wore a predominantly black outfit.
When asked about this, the girl born in 1993 said: "I do what I like, I just want to change myself a little bit, not for any special reason."
