Bach Long Vi District (Hai Phong) meets new rural standards

(Chinhphu.vn) - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed Decision No. 1028/QD-TTg dated May 29, 2025 recognizing Bach Long Vi district, Hai Phong city as meeting new rural standards in 2024.

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the People's Committee of Hai Phong city to be responsible for announcing and rewarding according to regulations; directed the People's Committee of Bach Long Vi district to continue to maintain and improve the quality of criteria, focusing on economic and environmental criteria to ensure sustainability in new rural construction.

* Bach Long Vi district was established on December 9, 1992, under the jurisdiction of Hai Phong city. The district is located in a frontline position, playing a particularly important role in terms of economy, national defense and security.

More than 30 years since the establishment of Bach Long Vi island district, from a deserted, barren island to a green, clean, vibrant island, with busy wharves and piers, the socio-economic infrastructure is increasingly complete. Up to now, the district has invested in the construction of over 60 works and projects, most of which have brought practical socio-economic efficiency, closely linked to the implementation of national defense and security tasks, firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

In the coming time, Bach Long Vi will strive to implement the National Target Program on building a special new rural district and gradually transforming digitally; strengthening the protection of marine and island resources and environment, associated with building and promoting the cultural values ​​and people of Bach Long Vi with local characteristics of the sea and island region./.
