Cu Kuin District: People voluntarily surrendered their weapons after being informed and mobilized.

The People's Committee of Cu Kuin district said that after a group of people attacked the headquarters of the People's Committee of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes, killing 4 police officers and 2 commune leaders, and 3 people, the district has directed the communes to strengthen the work of mobilizing and propagating people to voluntarily hand over weapons and explosives to the authorities.

In Cu Ewi commune, the People's Committee issued Plan No. 29/KH-UBND on strengthening propaganda and mobilization to collect weapons, explosives and supporting tools in the commune.

Many people of Cu Ewi commune participated in the propaganda and mobilization session.

Accordingly, the Commune People's Committee established 3 propaganda teams, each team consisting of 1 commune police officer, 4 key officials of the commune's mass organizations and the entire grassroots political system of the participating villages and hamlets.

After 2 days of campaigning in 9 villages and hamlets, people voluntarily handed in 4 air alcohol guns that shoot marbles, 1 homemade gun that shoots military bullets, 1 flintlock gun that shoots marbles, 1 homemade crossbow, 2 air launchers, 5 electric shockers used to shock fish, 1 machete-like knife. There were many cases of voluntary handing in right at the time of the campaign.

Weapons and explosives were voluntarily handed over by people after being mobilized and propagated.

In parallel with the propaganda work to mobilize people to surrender weapons, the authorities have also combined propaganda and mobilization to encourage people not to believe or listen to the distorted arguments of hostile forces aiming to divide the great national unity bloc; to believe in the Party's guidelines and policies and laws of the State, strictly comply with State laws, raise vigilance, and fight against all types of crimes...

In addition, the authorities also supported the installation, activation and use of electronic identification accounts for people in 9 villages and hamlets in the commune during the propaganda session.

Currently, Cu Kuin district is continuing to promote propaganda and mobilize people to voluntarily hand over weapons and explosives to the authorities to prevent unpredictable dangers that may occur.
