Over the years, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tien Yen district has effectively fulfilled its role in gathering and mobilizing the people to exercise their right to self-governance, responding to and participating in many emulation movements and campaigns, contributing to the successful implementation of local socio -economic development tasks.
Innovating propaganda work
In order to promote the strength of national unity in the area, in recent times, the Fatherland Front at all levels in Tien Yen district has played a core role, promoting patriotic emulation movements and campaigns with many rich and practical contents. In particular, it has placed special emphasis on propaganda and mobilization work with the motto "propaganda work must lead, accompany, and follow" and "go to every alley, knock on every door," attracting a large number of people from all walks of life to participate and respond, promptly providing and guiding information to create unity within the Party and consensus in society.
The Fatherland Front of the district has combined propaganda with legal explanations, social supervision and criticism, and caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people, thereby creating a transformation in awareness and actions among all strata of the population. Notably, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the district has played a core political role, mobilizing the strength of national unity in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic with the highest determination, effectively preventing the spread of the disease, maintaining a safe area, and creating a favorable environment for economic and social activities to be maintained and developed, adapting to each stage and requirement.

Propaganda and mobilization efforts have been undertaken to gain public consensus on the implementation of strategic plans and land clearance, with many key projects receiving high levels of support from households. Particularly, the Van Don - Mong Cai expressway project, specifically the section passing through Tien Yen district, has seen public agreement to halt some pilot models of dual-role operations.
In particular, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the district has always promoted the role of village elders, community leaders, and influential people in disseminating information and mobilizing the people to participate in building new rural areas and advanced new rural areas, exploiting regional advantages to develop socio-economic aspects, developing experiential tourism , community tourism, spiritual tourism, and restoring, preserving, and promoting the unique traditional cultural values of ethnic groups. In addition, the Fatherland Front Committee maintains and improves the effectiveness of the "Community Page," the Fatherland Front's Fanpage at the district and grassroots levels, and the propaganda pages of member organizations, self-governing safety groups, and neighborhood self-governing groups to promptly disseminate information to the people. Over the past five years, more than 10,000 news articles and propaganda materials have been shared.
Enhance the effectiveness of the movements.
Thanks to the effective propaganda and mobilization efforts of the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, patriotic emulation movements and campaigns have been widely implemented with many creative and practical approaches, thereby mobilizing the strength of national unity and contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality. For example, in social welfare and sustainable poverty reduction, the District Fatherland Front Committee actively mobilized support and assistance for the people to build "Houses of National Unity" and sanitary toilets. Particularly recently, Typhoon No. 3 (Yagi) caused severe damage to people and property in the communes of the district. The government and mass organizations, with the Fatherland Front Committee playing a core role, appealed to philanthropists to support the people. As of September 11th, in addition to receiving support from the Provincial Relief Campaign Committee and other units in the province, the entire district has received over 390 million VND and other essential goods from benefactors. At the same time, philanthropists directly donated money to three disadvantaged families to build new houses, totaling over 300 million VND.

Mr. Chiu Van Dung (Trang Tay village, Dong Hai commune) shared: "The recent Typhoon No. 3 severely damaged my house, tearing off the roof. I am very happy that thanks to the help and support from all levels of government, agencies, and philanthropists, my family has been able to build a new house, which is currently being completed. This is a great motivation for my family to stabilize our lives and develop our economy better."
Over the past five years (2019-2024), the Fatherland Front Committees and mass organizations at all levels in Tien Yen district have mobilized a total of 5.1 billion VND in social funding to work with the district's political system to care for and effectively address social welfare issues. This includes supporting 106 households with particularly difficult circumstances with housing construction and repairs, and 61 households with sanitary toilets; assisting 167 poor and near-poor households to escape poverty sustainably; and mobilizing organizations, individuals, philanthropists, businesses, and member organizations of the district's Fatherland Front to donate over 24,550 gifts worth over 13.564 billion VND on major holidays and Lunar New Year celebrations.

The campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas," linked with the emulation movement "Quang Ninh joins hands to build new rural areas," building "civilized communes, wards, and towns," and other patriotic emulation movements, has been implemented by the Fatherland Front Committee and mass organizations with many creative approaches, mobilizing the participation of the entire political system and the people, and effectively utilizing social resources. Over the past five years, people in the district have donated over 160,000 m² of land. land, contributed over 11,720 man-days of labor, 244,700 m². The project involved constructing fences and building materials worth over 75 billion VND. In addition, efforts were made to promote and encourage people to develop farm-based economic activities, leading to the formation of several large-scale production models. Tien Yen District was recognized by the Prime Minister as a New Rural Area in 2019 and an Advanced New Rural Area in 2023.

The activities of showing gratitude and repaying kindness are coordinated by the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations, mobilizing support from agencies, businesses, philanthropists, and the people. Over the past five years, they have mobilized support for: the Gratitude and Repayment Fund (225 million VND); and the Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims Fund (nearly 300 million VND)...
To further strengthen and promote the power of national unity in the coming period, Ms. Vi Thi Tu, Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Tien Yen District, stated: The Fatherland Front Committee of Tien Yen District will continue to thoroughly understand the ideology of President Ho Chi Minh and the Party regarding the position and importance of the power of national unity. It will strengthen the core political role and responsibility of the Fatherland Front at all levels in the district in building national unity, contributing to creating social consensus, arousing patriotic traditions, national pride, faith, and aspirations for innovation and creativity, building Tien Yen District into a sustainably developed, prosperous, beautiful, and civilized place, and improving the happiness index of its people.
