On October 29, INSEE Vietnam attended the Vietnam Green Building & Green Transport Week 2025 held in Ho Chi Minh City, with the theme "Innovation - Promoting the development of green buildings and green transport towards sustainability". The event was chaired by the Ministry of Construction , in coordination with the Department of Science, Technology and Environment and IEC Consulting, gathering many experts, businesses and organizations in the fields of construction, transport and environment. Here, INSEE Vietnam participated in two roles: a speaker at the conference and an exhibitor in the exhibition area, bringing sustainable construction initiatives and solutions, contributing to promoting the green development trend in the industry.
Journey to reduce carbon footprint in infrastructure projects
In his presentation at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dung, Head of Sustainable Construction Department, INSEE Vietnam, shared INSEE's journey of reducing carbon footprint in infrastructure projects in Vietnam, focusing on the application of blended cement.

Mr. Dung emphasized that the construction industry plays a key role in reducing CO₂ emissions, and INSEE is making efforts to promote green, environmentally friendly cement solutions, which have been applied in many key infrastructure projects across the country.
The paper also pointed out the challenges and opportunities in the transition to sustainable materials, especially as Vietnam promotes the construction of green buildings to meet the requirements of economic development associated with environmental protection.
At the seminar on “National strategic vision for sustainable development”, INSEE representatives and experts discussed in depth the role of low-carbon cement in the national green transport development strategy, aiming to reduce emissions, increase energy efficiency and improve infrastructure sustainability.

In parallel with the seminar, INSEE Vietnam introduced a sustainable construction materials booth, where visitors could directly learn about green cement solutions, demonstrating INSEE's continuous efforts on the journey to create a green future for the construction industry.
Here, INSEE's team of engineers and experts provide detailed advice on the characteristics, benefits and practical applications of each type of cement, from key infrastructure projects, high-rise projects, to civil housing and small and medium-sized projects.
More than just a product display space, INSEE's booth also offers a new perspective on sustainable materials, where technology, environment and people combine to create lasting value for the future.
Pioneer in green building materials
INSEE Vietnam is currently a pioneer in the field of green building materials, with a portfolio of cement products certified with the "Green Label" by the Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC) and the international EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) certificate.

According to the 2024 report, the CO₂ emission index (scope 1) of INSEE reached 375 kg/tonne of cement, significantly lower than the target of 650 kg/tonne set by the Ministry of Construction for the cement industry by 2030. This result is the result of a series of greening initiatives in production, notably replacing clinker with industrial by-products such as steel slag and fly ash from thermal power plants. These materials not only help reduce emissions but also improve the durability and performance of cement.
As of September 2025, the average clinker content in INSEE cement products will be only 53.5%, helping to halve CO₂ emissions compared to traditional cement.
In parallel, for 18 consecutive years, INSEE has expanded its waste co-processing capacity, converting waste into alternative fuel to replace coal in production, with a heat replacement ratio of 38.1%. This is a clear demonstration of the company's commitment to sustainable development and circular economy.
With the brand statement "Building a Sustainable Life", INSEE Vietnam affirms its commitment to continue pioneering research and application of green materials, contributing to realizing the carbon neutral goal of the Vietnamese construction industry.
Through each product and initiative, INSEE not only accompanies partners and customers, but also works with society to create a greener, more sustainable and prosperous future.
