After exciting quarter-final and semi-final rounds, five outstanding competitors – Le Huy Hoang (Cobra category, 55kg), Luu Duc Manh (Golden Rooster category, 57kg), Mui Trong Vinh (Eagle category, 59kg), Nguyen Tien Long (Black Panther category, 63kg), and Nguyen Trung Hai (Mighty Tiger category, 68kg) – secured their places in the finals of the Gods Of Martial Arts (GMA) – Vietnamese Martial Arts Tournament. The tournament was organized by martial arts master and actor Johnny Tri Nguyen, who has an intense passion for mixed martial arts (MMA).
The special Vietnamese Martial Arts championship belt was designed by martial arts master and actor Johnny Trí Nguyễn himself.
Wishing to present special honorary gifts to the winning martial artists in the Vietnam Martial Arts Finals, Johnny Trí Nguyễn personally designed five belts for the five champions. "Each belt was designed by me, crafted by master artisans of Vietnam. These are not only symbols of Vietnamese artistic beauty but also proof of the talent, willpower, and relentless efforts of the martial artists on their journey to conquer the pinnacle," shared Johnny Trí Nguyễn, owner of the Liên Phong martial arts school.
Johnny Trí Nguyễn cherishes the Vietnamese Martial Arts championship belt as a special gift for the five outstanding martial artists.
Although the champion of the Vietnamese Martial Arts Championship has not yet been determined, Johnny Trí Nguyễn sees this as a stepping stone to prepare for next year's season with a new competition format, higher prize money, greater professionalism, excitement, and international participation.
In the finals of the Vietnamese Martial Arts Championship, the five semi-finalists will face the five wildcard champions of the 2023 Dragon Fight League: Nguyen Hoang Thach, Bui Truong Sinh, Tran Trong Kim, Nguyen Vu Phuong Hoai, and Ha The Anh. Thus, the five final matchups are determined as follows: Le Huy Hoang vs. Nguyen Hoang Thach (55 kg category), Ha The Anh vs. Nguyen Trung Hai (68 kg category), Luu Duc Manh vs. Bui Truong Sinh (57 kg category), Mui Trong Vinh vs. Tran Trong Kim (59 kg category), and Nguyen Tien Long vs. Nguyen Vu Phuong Hoai (63 kg category).
The martial artists are ready to conquer the 2024 Vietnam Divine Martial Arts Championship title.
In the 55 kg weight class, "the king of tenacity" Le Huy Hoang, despite losing in the semi-finals to Pham Ngoc Canh, was given a chance to advance to the final. This was because Pham Ngoc Canh unfortunately suffered an injury. Le Huy Hoang's opponent is Nguyen Hoang Thach, the captain of the Lien Phong martial arts school, known for his fiery and persistent fighting style.
In the 68 kg weight class, Ha The Anh, with his height of 1.83 m and an undefeated record of 4 consecutive fights thanks to his powerful fighting style, is likened to an "attacking machine". Nguyen Trung Hai is a worthy opponent for Ha The Anh. Known as a "defensive wall" with his tenacious playing style and solid defense, Trung Hai promises to neutralize Ha The Anh's offensive power.
In the 57 kg weight class, Luu Duc Manh, a student of "undefeated" Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat, is highly regarded for his quick reflexes and sharp counter-attacks. Meanwhile, Bui Truong Sinh, with his confident, decisive fighting style and flexible maneuvering, will be a formidable opponent for Luu Duc Manh.
The finals of the Vietnamese Martial Arts Tournament will begin at 7 PM today at The Grand Ho Tram ( Ba Ria - Vung Tau ).
In the 59 kg weight class, it's a clash between the experience of Tran Trong Kim and the youthful energy of Mui Trong Vinh. Trong Vinh is renowned for his precise strikes and excellent control of the fight, while Tran Trong Kim is considered a master of tactics, quick to identify and exploit his opponent's weaknesses.
In the 63 kg weight class, Nguyen Tien Long displayed a very high fighting spirit and lightning-fast strikes. His opponent, Nguyen Vu Phuong Hoai, had a strong mentality and controlled the match well, promising a dramatic contest.
