Opening of the training conference on professional development in cultural and sports work

On August 7, at the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials (Binh Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the Conference on training and fostering professional skills in cultural and sports work in 2025.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City Tran The Thuan delivered the opening speech at the conference.

Attending the opening ceremony were leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City and 200 students from specialized departments and units under the department; experts in charge of culture and sports from the Department of Culture and Social Affairs of wards, communes and special zones of Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Tran The Thuan, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, said that the conference aims to exchange and provide guidance on knowledge and professional skills for the team of officials and civil servants in charge of cultural and sports work at the People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones.

This is an activity to promptly respond to the requirements of state management in the fields of building grassroots cultural life, family and preventing and combating domestic violence, advertising, festivals, fine arts, photography, exhibitions, karaoke, dance halls, cultural heritage, arts, press - publishing, electronic information, sports, etc.

The conference creates conditions for exchange, sharing of experiences and good practices to effectively serve the management and organization of cultural and sports activities at the grassroots level.

There were 200 students attending the training conference.

The organization of the conference ensures the correct composition, objects, and content according to the plan, close to reality. The content and training program are practical, suitable for the objects and practical work requirements.

The conference took place over 2 days, August 7 and 8, at the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials, with 12 topics.

Specifically, on August 7, there were 7 topics: State management of building grassroots cultural life, building Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space; State management of family and prevention of domestic violence; State management of festivals, karaoke, dance halls, advertising, fine arts, photography, exhibitions; Visual propaganda, skills in building, managing and operating activities of clubs, teams, groups; State management of cultural heritage and naming, renaming of streets and public works in the city; State management of press - publishing; State management of Electronic Information.

Tomorrow, August 8, the department will train the remaining 5 topics: State management of art; State management of physical education and sports; Inspection and handling in the field of culture and sports; Instructions on performing the tasks of the Organizing Committee of major holidays; List of administrative procedures under the authority of the People's Committees of wards, communes and special zones.

Trainees who attend 3/4 of the training sessions will be granted a certificate of completion of the training program by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City.

After the end, the Organizing Committee will report to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee the results of the training course and report the learning results of the trainees to the People's Committees of wards, communes, and special zones.
