Attending the opening ceremony were Comrade Nguyen Tuan Thanh – Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Festival Organizing Committee; Cao Thanh Thuong – Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment; and representatives of leaders from departments, agencies, and socio- political organizations of the province.
The event was attended by Miss Tourism Ambassador of Vietnam 2024, Dinh Thi Hoa, the media ambassador for the "Essence of the Great Forest - Blue Sea Gathering" Festival 2025, representatives of sponsors, participating booths, and a large number of locals and tourists.
Accordingly, the "Delicious Dishes from the Basalt Land and the Sea" Food Festival, the OCOP Product Exhibition, the Traditional Craft Villages, and the Coffee and Gong Culture Festival of Gia Lai Province will take place from August 29th to September 2nd, 2025, open daily from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with 94 booths from 33 units, attracting the participation of restaurants from within and outside the province.
Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the "Delicious Dishes from the Basalt Land and the Sea" Food Festival, the OCOP Product Exhibition, the Traditional Craft Villages, and the Coffee and Gong Culture Festival of Gia Lai Province.
The festival space is richly designed, featuring specialty food areas from the mountains and sea, an OCOP product display area, traditional craft villages, and a space for specialty Gia Lai coffee and Vietnamese coffee. Notably, creative coffee drinks popular with young people, such as egg coffee, salt coffee, pandan leaf coffee, and coconut water coffee, brewed from high-quality robusta coffee beans from the highlands, will be introduced at the event. Visitors can also enjoy free coffee at the Children's Park throughout the festival.
In addition, the festival also celebrates the culture of the Central Highlands through gong performances, folk exchanges, and performances of distinctive arts of ethnic minority groups.

The festival is an important tourism, trade, and cultural promotion activity of Gia Lai province, aiming to promote the culinary essence from the basalt mountains to the sea, honor the value of OCOP products, and develop traditional craft villages. Through the festival, Gia Lai province hopes to introduce its potential and strengths in agriculture, craft villages, tourism, and cuisine; and at the same time create conditions for businesses and cooperatives to connect, expand domestic markets, and aim for export.
