Opening of "Festival of communication, promotion, potential and introduction of cultural space of ethnic groups"

At the opening ceremony, Ms. Dang Thi Phuong, Vice Chairman of Vi Xuyen District People's Committee said: The festival will be an opportunity for artisans and people of all ethnic groups to meet, exchange, learn from each other's experiences, enhance the spirit of solidarity among ethnic groups after a series of hard working days, raise awareness in preserving and promoting good traditional cultural values, building and developing Vi Xuyen culture and people. Contribute to building Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable development of the country.

Vi Xuyen ( Ha Giang ) organized a festival to communicate, promote, potential, cooperate in development and introduce the cultural space of ethnic groups.

Through the festival, Vi Xuyen hopes to reap many successes in attracting, investing, and developing, serving as a convenient connection channel between the locality and investors and achieving great successes; ethnic people will know more about each other's traditional cultures, as well as be proud of their traditional cultures, and constantly promote their role as masters of their cultural heritage and fine traditional cultures.

In particular, at the opening ceremony, Vi Xuyen district received the announcement of the list of "National Intangible Cultural Heritage of Dao people's Pao Dung singing" by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Pao Dung songs are a form of oral singing, improvisation, the singer knows familiar folk songs, can also compose their own words, improvise according to different singing situations. The lyrics are rich in imagery, using many metaphors and comparisons; the melody and rhythm are free, fast or slow depending on the singer's feelings.

Vi Xuyen district received the announcement of the list of "National Intangible Cultural Heritage of Dao people's Pao Dung singing" by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism .

The unique feature of Pao Dung singing is that there are no musical instruments, it is expressed very naturally by the singer's own emotions, so the Pao Dung melody is always imbued with the singer's thoughts and feelings that he wants to convey in each lyric.

Pao Dung singing is considered a treasure of the Dao people, including the following types: Pao Dung in rituals are songs used in the Cap Sac ceremony, weddings, worshiping ceremonies, funerals, and full-month worshiping; Pao Dung in daily life are lullabies, songs for fun, love songs, male-female dialogue songs; and Pao Dung in labor and production are songs praising labor, natural beauty, slash-and-burn farming, or experiences about weather and seasons.

Tourists enjoy the performance of making traditional musical instruments of ethnic minorities.

In addition, the "media festival, promotion, potential, cooperation, development and introduction of ethnic cultural space of Vi Xuyen district" also has many activities such as: Conference on promotion, potential, cooperation, development of Vi Xuyen district; demonstration activities to introduce ethnic cultural space and display typical local products. In the series of activities within the framework of the festival, investors are provided with basic and complete information on policies to support business development, planning, plans and list of projects calling for and attracting investment.

Thereby, people and tourists from all over the world visit the colorful cultural space of the ethnic groups in the area; experience traditional folk games and cuisine; witness many activities on cultural activities and traditional beliefs of the ethnic groups.

The festival of communication, promotion, potential, cooperation in development and introduction of cultural space of ethnic groups in Vi Xuyen district will take place on May 24 and 25 with many meaningful and practical activities.
