This activity is to thank the land and water gods and to pray for a good new year. Ghe Ca Hau, a traditional means of transport, is decorated and paraded with water lanterns, attracting a large number of tourists to participate.

Over the years, Can Tho city has always paid attention to and directed the work of preserving and promoting cultural heritage values ​​in the city, in order to contribute to preserving and promoting intangible cultural values ​​and introducing to people and tourists the fine customs, practices and traditional rituals of the Khmer people.

Here, delegates and people enjoyed a water lantern performance with a total of 16 water lanterns and 4 Ca Hau boats shimmering in the middle of the poetic river.

Organizing the performance of releasing water lanterns and Ca Hau boats within the framework of the annual Ooc Om Boc Festival - Ngo boat racing not only contributes to preserving and promoting the traditional cultural heritage values ​​of the Khmer people, but also creates a unique tourism product of Can Tho.

This is a highlight with strong identity, attracting domestic and foreign tourists, contributing to enriching the festival atmosphere and spreading the cultural values ​​of Southern Khmer.
