Staff of Au Co Ward Public Service Center posted on the ward's fanpage.
Many good ways
Immediately after the merger, social networks are becoming an effective and fast propaganda channel, reaching a wide range of people. In many communes, wards, agencies and units, this method has been creatively and proactively applied, turning social networking sites into "extended arms" of the Party Committee and local authorities. Fanpages not only provide timely information on policies and guidelines, but also allow Party Committees, authorities and people to listen, interact and answer questions, creating consensus in the community.
Since the merger, the Xuan Lung - Lang Dong commune fanpage has become an effective information channel, attracting over 2,700 likes and followers. Mr. Cao Xuan Huy - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Xuan Lung commune said: Although it has only been in operation since the establishment of the new commune after the merger, the commune's information page has played a positive role in propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws and the local political tasks, especially information on party congresses at all levels, term 2025 - 2030. In addition, the information page also continuously updates the commune's activities, introducing and promoting the local cultural characteristics to all people...
The fanpage “Xuan Lung - Lang Dong” attracted over 2,700 likes and followers.
Most of the fan pages of the communes and wards were established at the same time as the merger and have been operating effectively, becoming effective communication channels of the local Party Committee and government. Information is updated daily on the activities of departments, branches and organizations in the commune. Not only that, these propaganda channels also take advantage of social networks to introduce good economic models and unique cultural features, contributing to promoting local products and images and enhancing the brand. Mr. Tran Quang Son - an officer of the Au Co Ward Public Service Center, the administrator of the ward information page, shared: Initially, the ward information page only had a few dozen followers, mainly cadres, civil servants and public employees in the ward, but now the ward's fan page has more than 1,400 followers. Among them, there are many people who are children living far away from home and are interested in local information. Local people regularly update announcements, work schedules, or policies of the Party and State... We have also received some feedback from people, compiled reports and promptly responded. In the future, we will continue to improve the capacity of page management staff and actively update to meet people's information needs.
People of Xuan Lung commune actively follow information on the commune's fanpage.
Fast and efficient updates
Actively connecting with the people through social networks, propagating policies and activities of the locality is a way to update news quickly and effectively. Up to now, many communes, wards, commune police, youth unions... of localities in the province have built fanpages and local groups to propagate and provide useful information. Currently, there are no regulations on the names of information pages, however, just by accessing the commune name on the search engine on Facebook, people can easily find information.
Mr. Nguyen Van Nien - Party Cell Secretary and Head of Zone 9, Phong Chau Ward said: Through social networks such as Facebook and Zalo, all information has been transmitted by the Zone Party Cell to the People to grasp very promptly and quickly, or information has been shared and announced by the Ward Police, especially such as warnings about scams, with illustrative images so it is easy to understand, the security and order situation in the locality... From there, people grasp information promptly, implementing policies is also very good.
Along with setting up fanpages, many communes and wards also set up zalo groups to connect and transmit information between Party committees, authorities with Party cells, residential areas, residential groups, and households. This is a quick information channel to disseminate activities, implementation plans, storm and flood prevention, propaganda about health insurance, social insurance, as well as receive feedback from the grassroots. Mr. Luong The Thanh in Zone 10, Thanh Mieu Ward shared: I regularly follow the information page of the ward and the ward police to grasp the security and order situation of the locality. From here, there are many incidents and warnings about security and order, so that we, the people, can raise our vigilance.
It can be seen that proactively applying social networks to propaganda work not only helps communes and wards disseminate policies in a timely manner but also becomes an effective "bridge" between Party committees, authorities and people. From providing information, listening to feedback, to promoting local products, social networks are proving to be a versatile and useful tool if we know how to approach and use them properly and effectively. This is a correct direction, contributing to building a strong grassroots government, closer to the people in the digital age.
The change in approach has brought about clear results. The propaganda content has not only been widely disseminated but also received positive responses from the public. Each interaction and each comment is a proof that the Party and State's message has truly entered life and reached every citizen.
