On the morning of November 10, the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command informed that the unit had just coordinated with the Commune Party Committee, the People's Committee of Cu Pui Commune, Krong Bong District (Dak Lak Province) and agencies and businesses in the area to inaugurate the "Comrades' House" to give to soldiers in difficult circumstances.
Captain Y Thuy Bkrong is a reconnaissance officer, Reconnaissance Department, Border Guard (BĐBP) of Dak Lak province. Thuy Bkrong is an ethnic minority, with difficult family circumstances. He and his wife raise two small children, the second of whom has cerebral palsy, cannot walk, regularly goes to the hospital for examination and treatment and always needs relatives to serve and care for him every day. Previously, the family did not have a house, living with the grandparents in an old, seriously degraded house, which greatly affected their daily life.
The level 4 house built for Captain Y Thuy Bkrong's family has an area of about 100 m2, including: 1 living room, 2 bedrooms with brick walls, tiled floors, and a corrugated iron roof. The total construction cost is about 300 million VND, contributed by agencies, units, businesses, families, and relatives to help Y Thuy Bkrong's family stabilize their lives; create a solid rear, help him feel secure working at the border, and successfully complete all assigned tasks.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Colonel Dao Viet Hung, Commander of Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard, hoped that Y Thuy Bkrong's family would receive the affection of officers and employees of supporting agencies and businesses, and at the same time, preserve and use the house sustainably and long-term.
Colonel Dao Viet Hung emphasized: From the beginning of 2024 until now, the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard has coordinated with agencies, units, businesses, and philanthropists to build and hand over 11 "Great Unity" houses, "Comrades' Houses", and "Military-Civilian Unity Houses". Thereby, contributing to encouraging and sharing the difficulties of the military and people in the border areas, helping families gradually stabilize their lives, and feel secure in working, producing, and working.
This is also one of the activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the People's Army and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day.
