Rewarding 2 students who saved children from drowning

Discovering two children struggling in deep water, two students from Thach Kim Secondary School (Loc Ha, Ha Tinh ) quickly jumped in to save them and brought them safely to shore.

On the morning of September 28, the Provincial Youth Union and the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh awarded certificates of merit to two students of Thach Kim Secondary School (Loc Ha), Pham Phuc Sinh and Nguyen Hoang Phong, for saving two drowning children.

Leaders of the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Union Council awarded Certificates of Merit from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Ha Tinh province to Nguyen Hoang Phong (2nd from right) and Pham Phuc Sinh (3rd from right) for their bravery in saving a drowning person.

Previously, at around 5:30 p.m. on August 30, 2023, while playing at the fishing port in Thach Kim commune (Loc Ha district), two children, Tran Dinh Nhat Anh (8 years old) and Nguyen Bao Binh (6 years old), unfortunately slipped and fell into the water.

Discovering the two children struggling in deep water, Pham Phuc Sinh (class 7C) and Nguyen Hoang Phong (class 7E) quickly jumped in to save them and brought them safely to shore.

Representative of the Department of Education and Training of the province awarded certificates of merit from the Department Director to the two students.

In order to promptly encourage and commend the two students' brave actions, on the morning of September 28, the Provincial Youth Union and the Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to commend and reward Pham Phuc Sinh and Nguyen Hoang Phong.

The two children's brave act of saving people is a shining example for their friends to follow.
