The Dolce Vento yacht, which means "sweet wind" in English, sank just 15 minutes into its maiden voyage off the coast of Türkiye on Tuesday, forcing the owner, captain and two crew members to jump into the water.
Footage of the Dolce Vento gliding gently into the sea off the coast of Zonguldak in northern Türkiye before tilting to one side and slowly sinking has been shared non-stop on social media platforms.
This is the first time the 25-meter-long yacht has set sail since being handed over to its owner in Istanbul.

The owner, captain and two crew members jumped into the sea and swam to safety. The Coast Guard and port rescue teams set up a security cordon around the ship, according to Mirror US .
The clip was posted on Instagram and has been viewed thousands of times. "Does it even have a submarine mode?" one person joked. Another added: "This seems like a very expensive way to test a life jacket."
Meanwhile, others speculated that the top of the ship was too heavy, which may have caused the sinking.
"The accident may have been caused by the excessive weight of the upper part, resulting in a low center of gravity," one person said, adding: "This condition significantly reduced the stability of the yacht, causing it to capsize shortly after launching. Proper weight distribution and stability calculations are very important before launching any boat."
An investigation into the incident is underway, and the yacht will be inspected to determine the cause.
