At the farm, families can choose their own Christmas tree, from pre-cut trees to the "self-cutting" area – a highlight that attracts nearly half of the visitors. Greg Thomas, a regular customer, said that although the import price of Christmas trees is high this year, the farm owner is still trying to keep prices reasonable. "The trees here last a long time; we usually enjoy them until the New Year," he shared.
Lynda Thomas excitedly showed off her newly chosen Christmas tree: "I'm so lucky, it's been beautifully pruned."
The Hagle Christmas Tree Farm has been operating for over 30 years, run by the Ben Hagle family. Of the 40 acres, 12 are dedicated to growing and selling Christmas trees. "Some of the trees are two years old; next year they could be over 2 meters tall and ready for sale," Ben said.
More than just a place to buy trees, the farm offers a family experience. Dylan, who was tasked with choosing a tree this year, excitedly said, "The trees are so green and fragrant. I imagine running down the stairs and finding presents under the Christmas tree, sparkling like lights!"
According to pine growers, the secret to choosing a beautiful tree is a straight trunk, a height that matches the ceiling, lush green leaves, and a pleasant fragrance. For many families, the trip to choose a pine tree is not only to prepare for the holidays, but also to fully enjoy the spirit of Christmas that is fast approaching.
