Checking the preparations for the Culture, Sports and Tourism Week to celebrate the Ok Om Bok Festival in 2025

On the afternoon of October 27, comrade Kim Ngoc Thai - Deputy Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee organized a delegation to inspect the locations where activities will take place within the framework of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Week to celebrate the province's Ok Om Bok Festival in 2025 (Week).

The working delegation inspected the actual locations where activities will take place, such as: Trade Promotion Fair area, rural industrial products and OCOP products at Nguyet Hoa ward square; the main festival area of Ok Om Bok Festival at Ao Ba Om National Scenic Relic Site (Nguyet Hoa ward); the area where activities on the occasion of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day take place at the Provincial Khmer Ethnic Culture Museum; the area where the tourism exhibition space "Vinh Long - Land of Convergence - One route, three destinations" and the Southern cuisine space take place at the old Tra Vinh Sports Training and Competition Center; the area where the Vinh Long Province Open Boat Race takes place on Long Binh River (Long Duc ward and Hoa Thuan ward) and the location of the opening ceremony of the Week at Pham Ngu Lao Park, Tra Vinh ward.

At the area where the Ngo boat racing took place, comrade Kim Ngoc Thai requested to install more seats to serve the delegates.

In the inspected areas, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Kim Ngoc Thai and members of the delegation basically agreed and highly appreciated the preparation work of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism as well as relevant sectors.

For the activities to be successful, comrade Kim Ngoc Thai noted that the Organizing Committee needs to pay more attention to environmental landscape work; arrange and ensure security and order, fire prevention and fighting; parking for delegates and the public to visit; reception work as well as seating arrangements for delegates attending the activities...

Regarding the arrangement of the grandstand for delegates to watch the Ngo boat race, comrade Kim Ngoc Thai requested that more seats be installed, as this activity is expected to attract a large number of delegates from inside and outside the province to watch. Since it is currently the rainy season, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Kim Ngoc Thai also noted that the Organizing Committee needs to have a plan to ensure safety in case of bad weather.
