After the "Debut" round, episode 7 of Challenge the Limit 2025 quickly heated up with the "Challenge" round. This is when producers Bao Kun, Chi Tam, Melyd K and their singers have to break all limits and use unique tricks to conquer the judges and the audience.

Sitting in the "hot seat" this week, taking on the role of judge are the guest judge duo Sy Luan and Phuong Trinh Jolie.

The highlight of the competition night was the confrontation between three warriors representing three colors. Giang Thuy Linh (producer Bao Kun's team) and Tina Tran (producer Chi Tam's team) decided to "ambush" with two 100% new compositions, promising to bring catchy melodies, showing off their musical personalities. Not far behind, Hekii (under producer Melyd K) chose a more adventurous move when "reviving" the hit song Perfume. Not only singing again, Hekii brought a very unique mix when blending three different musical colors.

Opening the first night of the Challenge round, Tina Tran – a contestant from producer Chi Tam’s team – performed the song “Co sao dau ma” (It’s okay) composed by Red (a team member). With a clear, emotional voice, she fully conveyed the optimistic message after a breakup and moved the audience when she burst into tears on stage. After completing her performance, the youngest singer from producer Chi Tam’s team said she felt completely relieved because she had performed her best with a song that the male producer and teammate Red trusted her with.

The performance received many compliments from judges Phuong Trinh Jolie, Sy Luan and producers Melyd K, Bao Kun. Notably, judge Phuong Trinh Jolie humorously asked for the copyright of this song right on stage, while producer Bao Kun urged Chi Tam and Tina Tran to quickly release this song because it was so good.

Giang Thuy Linh performs a self-composed song that makes producer Melyd K want to change his nickname.

Following the competition night was the performance of producer Bao Kun's team with Giang Thuy Linh performing the song "Thanks to the wind" which she composed herself. Appearing on stage in a pure white dress, Giang Thuy Linh created a deep and healing space when conveying the message of soothing the wounded, finding peace after stormy days, conveyed by a clear voice but filled with feelings that cannot be expressed in words.

It is known that after listening to Giang Thuy Linh's demo, producer Bao Kun decided to put the song into an orchestral musical space, combined with a choir to create depth and a sense of spread for the melody. In addition, producer Bao Kun used additional vocal box sounds often heard in auditorium spaces, evoking the image of wind in the song. This effect successfully inspired producer Melyd K, making him want to change his nickname to Wind after listening to the performance.

“Perfume” version Melyd K – Hekii makes the stage explosive, creative and full of charm

Closing episode 7 of Challenge the Limits 2025 is the explosive performance of singer Hekii from producer team Melyd K with the song "Perfume", composed by Melyd K and Hoang Ton. In the new arrangement, Melyd K skillfully blends three different music genres in the same song and changes many flexible tempos, creating a colorful and captivating emotional journey. With his soulful voice and captivating choreography, Hekii makes it impossible for the audience to take their eyes off him because of his confident, dynamic demeanor and his ability to master his voice and stage.

The performance received a "shower of compliments" from the judges. Phuong Trinh Jolie was impressed by the way the three musical colors were combined with the modern voice, and even "asked for copyright" right on stage. Sy Luan highly appreciated the creativity when Melyd K switched from R&B to EDM, making the audience stand up and dance.
