Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Lu Quang Ngoi sent best wishes to the Mayor and government of Daejeon City.
This shows that by 2025, Vinh Long province will have an economic scale of about 11 billion USD, currently has 176 FDI projects with a total capital of over 5.6 billion USD, of which Korea has 36 projects, ranking 3rd among countries investing in Vinh Long province. Export turnover to Korea reached 47.3 million USD in the first 9 months of 2025, an increase of more than 22% over the same period, demonstrating an increasingly strong trade relationship.
Based on the potential of the two localities, Vinh Long province wishes to expand cooperation with Daejeon city in the fields of science and technology; cooperation in research and application of high technology in smart agriculture and agricultural processing; education and human resource training; digital transformation, start-ups and innovation.
Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Lu Quang Ngoi believes that with the increasingly strong relationship between Vietnam and Korea, the cooperation between Vinh Long province and Daejeon city will develop more practically, creatively and effectively.
