Promoting local resources
Cho Lach's tourism resources are very rich, from garden tourism to river tourism, cultural and spiritual tourism.
In particular, with its soil, climate and hydrological characteristics, Cho Lach is very suitable for agricultural production activities, especially seedling farming with many types of seedlings.
In addition, the profession of growing ornamental flowers (bouquet flowers, red flamboyant, roses, bamboo lilies, cypress trees, etc.) is also very typical, especially when Tet comes, Cho Lach is brilliant with spring colors.
The two large rivers, Ham Luong and Co Chien, and many small branches are the river tourism resources for Cho Lach commune. Coming here, visitors can take a cruise on Co Chien river to admire the charming river scenery, with fruit gardens on both sides.
In addition, there are many islands such as Phu Da island, Phu Binh island, Cai Ga island... tourists can enjoy by river and enjoy local specialties.

Besides the potential for eco-tourism and agriculture, Cho Lach is also a land with a long history. Vinh Thanh commune, right next to Cho Lach commune, is also the hometown of the scholar Truong Vinh Ky.
In the Vietnamese press, he was both the founder and held the position of Chief Editor (equivalent to today's Editor-in-Chief) of Vietnam's first national language newspaper: Gia Dinh Newspaper.
He is also considered to have contributed to the profession of growing seedlings in Cai Mon. Fruit varieties such as durian, rambutan, mangosteen, and longan were all brought back to his hometown from abroad during his summer vacations while studying abroad.
According to Mr. Tran Huu Nghi - Vice Chairman of Cho Lach Commune People's Committee, traditional craft villages from seedlings and ornamental flowers will create a unique cultural feature, the potential from agriculture will be the soul of Cho Lach Cultural Tourism Village.
“Cho Lach has been recognized by the Vietnamese record as the largest supplier of fruit tree seedlings bred by local people in Vietnam. This has also contributed to affirming the skills and brand of the people producing seedlings in Cho Lach. The construction and development of Cho Lach Cultural Tourism Village contributes to the restoration and development of cultural values and traditional occupations, exploiting indigenous cultural values, creating valuable tourism resources to serve the needs of research, cultural exploration, and sightseeing of tourists, bringing economic benefits and protecting natural resources, improving the living environment in rural areas, and improving the quality of life of people,” Mr. Nghi added.
Creating a unique space
Since 2020, Ben Tre province (old) has issued the Cho Lach Cultural Tourism Village Project. The scope of the project is initially implemented in 4 hamlets: Vinh Nam and Lan Dong hamlets (now Vinh Thanh commune), Dong Kinh hamlet (now Hung Khanh Trung commune), An Hoa hamlet (now Cho Lach commune) and are connected into a closed circle with a total area of over 1,490 hectares, a total investment of over 240 billion VND.

Cai Ga islet alone, 79 hectares, is planned as an operating area, service center... expected to build a resort, world-class flower garden for tourists to experience after visiting tourist attractions: Cai Mon Church, ancient houses, durian garden, bougainvillea village, fighting cock breeding village, fruit garden, seedling production...
In 2024, the People's Committee of Cho Lach District (formerly) organized the launch of the brand identity of Cho Lach Cultural Tourism Village. The logo is an image of a hand in the center holding four leaves. The hand symbolizes the talented hands of Cho Lach farmers preserving the resources and quintessence of the locality.
In addition, the inauguration of District Road 35 passing through Cho Lach Cultural Tourism Village. This is a route that helps improve the area's traffic infrastructure, gradually improving people's lives.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has also organized training courses on state management of tourism for leaders and cultural and social officials of the People's Committees of communes; training on tourism skills for households planning to do tourism business in communes in the project; organized agricultural tourism vocational classes for households planning to do tourism business...
Since 2018, in An Hoa hamlet, Cho Lach commune, Mr. Le Quang Loc - Director of Bao Khoi Tourism Service Trading Company Limited has invested in building Rooster Mekong resort. Mr. Le Quang Loc shared: "With a passion for tourism and a desire to help the people of the Mekong Delta, we want to preserve and promote the traditional craft villages, local spiritual culture, and honor the values of nature and people".

Visitors can experience the space of the Cultural Tourism Village, visit Cai Mon Church - one of the oldest churches in the South, experience night fishing on the Ham Luong River and enjoy cuisine right on the boat, visit the fruit garden full of fruit and enjoy the sweet fruit in the garden, enjoy Western cuisine - typical dishes of the river region...
Mr. Le Quang Loc said that this Tet, he is planning to carry out a program on a 1km route, so that visitors can row a boat from the ferry dock; tug of war, play folk games in the communal house yard... to fully experience the cultural values of the Vietnamese countryside.
The Cho Lach Cultural Tourism Village Project aims to build the cultural tourism village into a national tourism, sightseeing, resort and entertainment center based on exploiting the available advantages of indigenous cultural resources, natural resources, and key agricultural products, creating momentum for the sustainable development of the province's tourism industry.
Mr. Tran Huu Nghi - Vice Chairman of Cho Lach Commune People's Committee, emphasized that integrating the Project of Cultural Tourism Village and the Project of Developing Seedlings and Ornamental Flowers in Cho Lach at the national level into a common project will help concentrate resources, optimize economic and tourism development. The goal is to combine green agriculture, eco-tourism and indigenous culture to create a unique tourism product. Bringing seedlings and ornamental flowers into a national brand, developing the domestic market and export. At the same time, creating jobs, increasing income for people, preserving and promoting local cultural values.
