


Digital transformation has become a reality in the operations of Lai Chau PC. The power system is now centrally managed, remotely controlled and operated on a digital platform, opening a new era - the era of intelligence and automation using modern technology.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc - Head of the Dispatching Department (PC Lai Chau) shared: “Thanks to the SCADA system, we detect, localize and handle incidents in just a few minutes. The SCADA system helps monitor voltage, capacity, and give timely warnings - ensuring accurate, safe and fast operation. Incident information is automatically transferred to the OMS system, helping customers receive instant notifications about the cause and time to fix it - demonstrating transparency and professionalism in service...”.
In particular, in 2023, PC Lai Chau completed the installation of 100% of remote electronic meters for all customers. The application of electronic meters helps to completely eliminate the situation of incorrect readings, quickly detect problems behind the meter, and at the same time, improve labor productivity and management efficiency.
Along with that, the Company has promoted communication and guided people to use the customer care application (CSKH APP) of the Electricity industry. Up to now, 113,388 customers have installed the application (reaching 94.4%). Through the APP, people can monitor electricity consumption and pay electricity bills anytime, anywhere; contributing to improving service quality and customer satisfaction.

Ms. Po Lo De in Nam Cau village (Bum To commune) said: “Thanks to the electronic meter and customer care application, I can monitor electricity output and make payments right on my phone. Everything becomes convenient, saving a lot of time and travel costs.”

Aiming at the goal of “Digital enterprises and 99% of households having electricity”, PC Lai Chau is striving to realize the aspiration of spreading light to every highland village. Up to now, 100% of communes, wards and towns in the province have access to the national grid; 97.88% of households and 99.16% of villages and hamlets have access to electricity. However, there are still some remote, isolated and border areas without electricity – where the terrain is difficult, the population is sparse, the investment rate is high, and capital mobilization is difficult.
According to the Resolution of the 15th Lai Chau Provincial Party Congress, by 2030, the whole province strives to have 99% of households using the national grid - an important task contributing to socio -economic development and improving the lives of people in the highlands. To achieve that goal, PC Lai Chau has closely coordinated with departments, branches and local authorities to survey and plan for electricity investment.
Mr. Pham Chien Thang - Head of the Bum To Regional Electricity Management Team said: "We have surveyed villages without electricity such as Cu Mac Cao, Cu Ma Thap (Mu Ca commune), made a list and advised the Company on a suitable investment roadmap, gradually bringing electricity to the villages".

The results achieved can confirm that, overcoming difficulties, PC Lai Chau has risen to become a pioneer in digital transformation of the Northern Power Corporation. Electric light not only illuminates the mountains, forests, and villages, but also ignites the belief in a modern, civilized and prosperous future - where PC Lai Chau continues its journey of "Digital Enterprise - for customers - for the green and sustainable development of Lai Chau.
