On March 29, the Provincial Association of the Elderly (NCT) held a conference to review the first quarter's work, deploy tasks for the second quarter of 2024; and sign a coordination program with the Department of Population and Family Planning.
In the first quarter, the Association at all levels directed the branches and groups in the whole province to admit 3,612 members, bringing the total number of elderly members to 145,354/153,640, reaching 94.6%. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the province established delegations to visit and give more than 87,000 gifts, worth nearly 37 billion VND to the elderly.
The whole province has had 23,040 elderly people (100% of elderly people according to the Elderly Law) celebrated their longevity, wished them longevity, and given gifts, with a total budget of 8.62 billion VND; 112 self-help intergenerational clubs in the province were established to organize activities, celebrate longevity, celebrate longevity for club members and organize cultural, artistic and physical education exchanges. These activities help cadres, members, and the elderly to be more excited, always be exemplary and actively propagate and mobilize their children, families and people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, local regulations, village conventions and residential area conventions. The elderly are more enthusiastic in promoting their intelligence and life experience in labor, production, environmental protection, building cultural families, model families, encouraging learning, encouraging talents to build a learning society, actively participating in building a strong political system at the grassroots level...
The conference also took time to evaluate the results achieved after 1 year of implementing the coordination program in elderly health care between the Representative Board of the Elderly Association of Ninh Binh province and the Community Health Investment Joint Stock Company.
Next, the Provincial Elderly Association Representative Board also signed a coordination program with the Department of Population and Family Planning and the Elderly Association in elderly health care activities in Ninh Binh province for the period 2024-2025.
