
Each school is invested in construction on an area of about 6.2 hectares, with a scale of 30 classrooms, providing learning space for about 1,000 students. The project belongs to group B project, level III project, with a total investment of more than 200 billion VND for each school.
Currently, Lai Chau province has 9 ethnic boarding schools, 85 semi-boarding schools and 62 schools with semi-boarding students.
Implementing the Politburo 's Conclusion Notice No. 81 and the Government's Resolution No. 298 on investment in school construction for border communes, in 2025, Lai Chau province will deploy 5 projects, of which 3 projects started last September; on November 9, construction of 2 schools in Hua Bum and Dao San communes began. The remaining six schools are expected to start construction in 2026.

After the groundbreaking ceremony at 14 television stations nationwide, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son donated 2,000 books to the library and gave gifts to teachers of Hua Bum and Dao San primary and secondary boarding schools for ethnic minorities.

Lai Chau Provincial Party Secretary Le Minh Ngan, on behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Lai Chau province, presented Minister Nguyen Kim Son with a Mong flute and a Pieu scarf, two typical items of ethnic minorities in Lai Chau province.

Also within the framework of the program, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, the Provincial Education Promotion Fund, the Provincial Police and the Lai Chau Provincial Border Guard Command presented many meaningful gifts to the people and students of Hua Bum commune.
