According to the State Bank's report on interest rate developments of credit institutions for customers in November 2024, the interest rate for deposits with terms over 24 months is currently at 7.2%/year.

Specifically, the average VND deposit interest rate of domestic commercial banks is at 0.1-0.2%/year for demand deposits and deposits with terms of less than 1 month; 3-3.8%/year for deposits with terms of 1-6 months; 4.4-5.1%/year for deposits with terms of 6-12 months; 5.1-6%/year for deposits with terms of over 12-24 months and 6.8-7.2%/year for deposits with terms of over 24 months.

The official listed interest rates of banks are the highest at only 6.4%/year, applied by Eximbank for online deposits with terms of 12-36 months on weekends.

Meanwhile, BVBank is listing an interest rate of 6.3% per year for 18-36 month term deposits. This is also the interest rate listed by MSB for priority customers.

Meanwhile, the mobilization interest rate of 6.2%/year is applied at Indovina Bank (term from 24 to 36 months). This joint venture bank applies the interest rate of 6.05%/year for customers depositing money for a term of 13-18 months.

The 6.1%/year interest rate is applied by many banks. In particular, Modern Bank of Vietnam (MBV) and Dong A Bank list this interest rate for term deposits from 18 to 36 months; SHB lists for term deposits from 36 months or more; Saigonbank for term deposits from 36 months; HDBank for term deposits from 18 months.

With a mobilization interest rate of 6%/year, CBBank is listing online deposits for terms from 12 to 36 months; BaoVietBank is listing online deposits for terms from 15 to 36 months.

In addition, Saigonbank also listed a bank interest rate of 6%/year for deposit terms from 13 to 24 months; Dong A Bank listed it for a 13-month term; ABBank and BVBank listed it for a 12-month term and Viet A Bank listed it for a 36-month term.

In addition to the officially listed interest rates of over 6%/year for regular customers, some banks also list outstanding interest rates for VIP customers.

Of which, the highest interest rate is 9.5%/year applied by PVCombank for customers depositing from 2,000 billion VND, term of 12-13 months.

VIP customers at HDBank also have the opportunity to enjoy interest rates of up to 8.1%/year for 13-month savings and 7.7%/year for 12-month savings. However, to enjoy this interest rate, customers must deposit at least VND500 billion.

Meanwhile, customers depositing money at Dong A Bank enjoy interest rates of up to 7.5%/year when depositing from 200 billion VND for a 13-month term.

As of December 25, for the fifth consecutive day, the market has not recorded any bank adjusting interest rates.

According to statistics, 12 banks have increased their deposit interest rates since the beginning of December, including: Techcombank, BVBank, CB, Dong A Bank, VPBank, VIB, OCB , MSB, GPBank, TPBank, ABBank, and IVB. Of which, ABBank is the first bank to increase interest rates twice in a month.

Among them, VIB, IVB, ABBank, GPBank are the banks that have simultaneously reduced deposit interest rates since the beginning of the month. In addition, Bac A Bank, LPBank, NCB are also the banks that have reduced deposit interest rates this month.
