Lam Dong actively responds to the walking program "Moving Forward with Vietnam"

On the morning of August 16, at Lam Vien Square, Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat, Lam Dong Province, thousands of people and armed forces participated in the launching ceremony of the national walking program "Moving Forward with Vietnam", organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security.

In Lam Dong , the activity "Moving Forward with Vietnam" took place with the participation of members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, representatives of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, associations, unions, agencies, departments and a large number of people from 124 communes, wards and special zones.

The event took place simultaneously in 34 provinces and cities with 3,321 communes, wards and administrative zones nationwide, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and the People's Public Security Tradition Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025).

The collective leadership, armed forces and people of Lam Dong unanimously turned towards Ba Dinh Square, demonstrating heroic spirit and solidarity.

Lam Dong Provincial Military Command actively participates in the walking program "Moving Forward with Vietnam", contributing to maintaining security, order and spreading patriotism in the community.

From early morning, the atmosphere at Lam Vien Square was bustling with the vibrant colors of the red flag with yellow star. Lam Dong people, along with thousands of people from all over the country, turned to the historic Ba Dinh Square via live screens, sang the National Anthem and joined the walking tour around the central area of Da Lat.

Provincial leaders and departments and people joined the walk, demonstrating solidarity and responding to the physical training movement following the example of great Uncle Ho.

The route around Xuan Huong Lake with its typical flowers has become an ideal route for the "green step" journey, contributing to spreading the message of environmental protection, reducing carbon emissions and moving towards the Net Zero goal.

Thousands of attendees received shirts printed with the red flag with a yellow star presented by Lam Dong Provincial Police, creating a brilliant "red sea" - a symbol of patriotism and national unity.

In Lam Dong, the event attracted the participation of a large number of people, police officers and soldiers, youth union members and people from all walks of life from the central area to remote communes.

Youth Union members and students, wearing red shirts with a red flag and yellow star, are enthusiastic in every step for the community and the environment.

With the theme “1 billion steps into the new era”, the program is not only a sports activity responding to the movement “All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho” but also has profound political and social significance, arousing the spirit of solidarity and patriotism, aiming to build a strong and sustainable Vietnam.

Lam Dong province mobilized over 35,000 people to participate in the program; of which, about 5,000 people were at the provincial bridge point.

Each step recorded through the program's digital platform is a practical contribution to the goal of "1 billion steps towards a new era", demonstrating a sense of responsibility towards the community and the environment.

Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Co-Head of the Steering Committee, spoke at the launching ceremony of Moving Forward with Vietnam.
