The Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Province Police informed that at around 11:00 p.m. on November 16, while patrolling and controlling National Highway 27C connecting Lam Dong with Khanh Hoa, Team 27C of Lam Vien Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 (Traffic Police Department, Lam Dong Province Police) received a report from the Traffic Police Department (Khanh Hoa Province Police) asking them to approach the scene and rescue people. The landslide caused a passenger bus of Phuong Trang Company to be buried by landslide rocks at Km43 on National Highway 27C, Khanh Hoa Province.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Working Group quickly coordinated with the Lac Duong Commune Police (Lam Dong) and medical forces to the scene to help the people. However, during the process of the Working Group moving to the scene, the 10km road was cut off by 3 large landslides.
At the scene, there were 4 cars with 9 people stuck in the middle of the landslide, rocks and trees, while the upper slope was at risk of further landslides. To ensure the safety of the people, the Working Group evacuated 9 people to the Commune Police Headquarters; continued to the scene to coordinate with the Traffic Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police to support and bring the victims out of the landslide area.
Currently, the areas where people and vehicles were injured have been rescued and secured by authorities. This area continues to have rain, which can still cause the risk of further landslides. The Lam Dong Provincial Traffic Police have closed the road, not allowing people and vehicles to pass through the area at risk of landslides to ensure safety.
