Prenn Pass is under warranty.

On the morning of November 17, the section Km224+600 - Km224+700 (about 100m long) on Prenn Pass had a landslide on the negative slope embankment, causing nearly half of the roadbed to collapse.

According to the handover minutes, the Prenn Pass upgrade and expansion project will be officially taken over for management, exploitation and put into use from December 17, 2024. Thus, the entire route is under warranty for a period of 12 months.

Pursuant to Notice No. 659/TB-SGTVT dated September 30, 2024 of the Department of Transport of Lam Dong (old) on the results of the completion acceptance, the project to upgrade and expand Prenn Pass ensures quality according to technical standards. The project is invested by the Lam Dong Provincial Transport Project Management Board; the joint venture of Deo Ca Construction Joint Stock Company - Deo Ca Transport Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company constructs.

Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi inspected and directed the incident response work at Prenn Pass on the morning of November 17.

The project has a total length of 7.369km, starting at Km221+680 - National Highway 20 (end of Lien Khuong - Da Lat Expressway) and ending at Km229+049.74 - National Highway 20 (intersection to the inter-provincial bus station of Xuan Huong ward - Da Lat). The quality of the project is assessed as meeting the requirements according to the completion records and conclusions of the professional agency.

Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi directed departments, branches and units to coordinate with the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat, the Traffic Police Department (Provincial Police) to deploy traffic diversion, ensuring safety for people and vehicles.

During the warranty period, the contractor is responsible for maintaining, repairing and fixing any damage that arises in accordance with the contract and regulations, to ensure traffic safety, especially when the pass area is often affected by heavy rain and has a high risk of landslides.

Prenn Pass has serious landslides, temporarily banning traffic

Previously, at 9:00 a.m. on November 17, 2025, at Prenn Pass, section Km224+600 - Km224+700 (about 100m long), a landslide occurred on the negative slope embankment, causing half of the roadbed from Da Lat to Ho Chi Minh City to collapse.

Functional units are on duty to direct traffic on Prenn Pass.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Department of Construction coordinated with the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat, the Traffic Police Department (Provincial Police) and related units to deploy traffic diversion, ensuring safety for people and vehicles.

Currently, functional units continue to coordinate to monitor the status of the pass to promptly handle arising problems, ensuring traffic safety.
