Lam Dong awarded nearly 1 billion VND in "Lighting up the future" scholarships to 4 orphaned new students

On the morning of September 15, at SOS Children's Village Da Lat, the Association for the Support of Poor Patients, People with Disabilities and Protection of Children's Rights of Lam Dong province organized the Lighting Up the Future scholarship awarding program.

Compassionate arms create miracles in the Light Up the Future program

969 million VND is the total amount of money contributed to scholarships for 4 orphaned students in the program. With this amount, each child receives an average of 242 million VND.

To obtain this funding, the Association for Supporting Poor Patients - People with Disabilities and Protection of Children's Rights of Lam Dong province mobilized resources from members of affiliated associations, organizations, individuals, businesses, and benefactors at home and abroad to contribute support.

Representative of Dr. Tran Thi Lam Anh's family awarded 480 million VND in scholarships to 4 orphaned new students.

In particular, a group of generous donors including Tran Thi Lam Anh, Tran Thi Thuy Trinh, and Tran Ngoc Thong Nhat, all in the UK, sponsored scholarships of up to 480 million VND for these four new students.

In addition, F1 Biotechnology Company Limited supports living expenses of 18 million VND/student/36 months for 4 new students and donates 10 million VND at the beginning of the school year to SOS Children's Village Dalat.

Minh Quan Computer Company in Da Lat donated backpacks and laptops worth 8 million VND; Mr. Nguyen Van Luc, Chairman of the Association for Supporting Poor Patients - People with Disabilities and Protecting Children's Rights in Lam Dong province, also contributed his pension of 10 million VND to the program's scholarships.

The story of four orphans at SOS Children's Village Da Lat overcoming difficulties to excel in their studies has touched many hearts of kindness at home and abroad. They include: Bui Minh Hoang, a freshman at the University of Architecture, Ho Chi Minh City; Nguyen Ngoc Anh, a freshman at the University of Industry and Trade, Ho Chi Minh City; Duong Thi Khanh Dieu, a freshman at the University of Economics and Law (VNU-HCMC) and Ko Sa So Ry, a freshman at the University of Da Lat.
