The tournament is organized by the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF) in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong, taking place from November 10 to 15, 2025.

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Hong Son, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF); Mr. Huynh Ngoc Tam, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong , and 35 excellent female athletes from 7 countries: Laos, Maldives, Guam, Brunei, Bahrain, Jordan and host Vietnam.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hong Son, Vice President, General Secretary of the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF), Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament affirmed: Being trusted by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) to host the tournament is a great honor, demonstrating the continuous development of Vietnamese tennis in recent years. The tournament is also an opportunity for female tennis players in the region to compete, learn and spread the spirit of noble sportsmanship.

2025 is the second time Vietnam has been trusted by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) to host a regional women's team tournament. Previously, the Davis Cup Group III - Asia/Oceania Zone held in July 2025 affirmed the prestige and professional organizational capacity of the Vietnam Tennis Federation and NovaWorld Phan Thiet - an ideal sports and tourism destination for international events.

This year's tournament has 7 participating teams, of which only one team has won the right to be promoted to Group II in 2026, the remaining teams continue to compete in Group III. The Vietnam Billie Jean King Cup team includes players: Nguyen Thi Mai Linh (Hanoi), Ngo Hong Hanh (Ho Chi Minh City), Phan Diem Quynh and Vu Khanh Phuong (Army), Dang Thi Hanh (Hai Phong). According to the latest ITF rankings, Vietnam (ranked 98) is the highest ranked team among the 7 participating countries, followed by Laos (ranked 99), Maldives (ranked 102), Guam (ranked 110), Brunei (ranked 118), Bahrain (ranked 128) and Jordan (ranked 139).

The Billie Jean King Cup (formerly Fed Cup) is the world's most prestigious women's team tournament organized by the International Tennis Federation (ITF), similar to the Davis Cup for men. Vietnam's hosting of the Billie Jean King Cup Group III - Asia - Oceania Region in 2025 not only affirms the position and prestige of the country's tennis on the regional map, but is also an opportunity to promote the image of the country and people of Vietnam as friendly, dynamic and hospitable to international friends.

This is also an opportunity for NovaWorld Phan Thiet (Lam Dong) to affirm its position, aiming to become one of the professional and prestigious international tennis centers in the region.
