The atmosphere in Can Gio commune these days is bustling with a series of activities to celebrate the Can Gio Whale Festival 2025.

Within the framework of the Can Gio Whale Festival 2025 , on October 6, the People's Committee of Can Gio commune (HCMC) coordinated with local units to organize the Mid-Autumn Festival at Can Thanh Primary School.

This is one of the activities maintained by the locality every year, creating a playground for primary and secondary school students on the occasion of "Sea Tet".

This year's Mid-Autumn Festival lantern decoration contest has 19 teams competing for prizes. These lanterns will be carried by the children in the lantern parade to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival on the evening of October 6.

On the morning of October 6, the flower float decoration contest and parade were also held.

The contest contributes to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values ​​of national intangible cultural heritage, for units to exchange and share experiences in visual propaganda activities.

According to the plan, flower floats from Hung Thanh hamlet, Can Gio commune, Binh Khanh commune, An Thoi Dong commune and Thanh An commune will parade through the streets in Can Gio commune.

At the same time, this flower float convoy will participate in the parade in the Full Moon Festival on the evening of October 6 and join the procession on the morning of October 7.
