Lam Thao determined to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the second quarter

Along with other localities in the province, Lam Thao district has been mobilizing all resources to implement the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for policy families, poor and near-poor households in the district with the determination to complete in the second quarter of this year.

Xuan Lung Commune started building houses for people under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

Through review and statistics, in 2025, the whole district has 105 dilapidated houses that need to be repaired or rebuilt (70 houses need to be rebuilt, 35 houses need to be repaired), of which 53 cases are poor and near-poor households; 31 cases are meritorious people and 21 cases are other cases.

Since the beginning of the year, the district has started construction on 92% of new houses and 49% of repaired houses; inaugurated and handed over 2 houses to beneficiaries. At the same time, Lam Thao is also the leading locality in the province in starting construction of new houses for beneficiaries.

Tien Kien Commune launched and received funding to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025.

In addition to support from higher levels, the district has focused resources and done well in socialization work to provide maximum support for those who build houses, ensuring that newly built or repaired houses are spacious, durable, and have a long life span, helping people stabilize their lives and feel secure in their work and production.
