On the morning of April 9, 2024, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa and representatives of relevant departments and branches received and worked with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) delegation on coordination to support training and human resource development in Long An province.

At the meeting, Head of the Asian Development Bank delegation, Senior Social Sector Expert Mr. Fook Yen Chong said that through the survey, Long An province has been found to have great potential in training and fostering high-quality human resources in the province. The Asian Development Bank wishes to support Long An in developing a Project on Training Human Resources for the Semiconductor Industry in the province.

In particular, ADB will have experts to support the province in developing the Project and coordinate with Long An province to implement the following contents: determining the demand for human resources in the semiconductor industry and solving employment after training; assessing the market based on the overall assessment of the economic potential of the semiconductor industry in the region and in Vietnam... In addition, it is ready to accompany and support the province in 4 program contents: training curriculum, experts, factories and learning equipment; coordinating to connect businesses and foreign partners to invest together and anticipate investment projects in Long An.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa expressed his gratitude to the Asian Development Bank delegation for their interest in coordinating and supporting human resource training and development in Long An province. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that Long An province currently has a high demand for human resource training, especially high-quality human resources in the fields of artificial intelligence and semiconductor chips to attract investment and develop the province's socio-economic development. Thereby, he hoped that the delegation would continue to pay attention and support the province in developing a specific and feasible human resource training program for the semiconductor industry./.
