GBA Oktoberfest 2023 will take place in 3 major cities of Vietnam

On the evening of August 29, the German Business Association in Vietnam (GBA) in collaboration with the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam) and JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi held a press conference on the German cultural festival "GBA Oktoberfest 2023".

The press conference was chaired by Mr. Torben Minko, Co-Chairman of the German Business Association in Vietnam (GBA); Ms. Dao Thu Trang, Member of the Management Board, Head of Business Development Strategy Consulting, German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam); Mr. Steven Peter, Executive Chef of JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi, and representatives of sponsors.

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Torben Minko, Co-Chairman of GBA, emphasized: 2023 marks the 48th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany. The strategic partnership between the two countries is increasingly strengthened in all fields, specifically connections and cooperation in culture, economy, trade and investment are important goals.

Over the years, GBA has been the voice and supporter of German businesses in Vietnam, promoting economic relations between the two countries. Year after year, the Association has strived to elevate the original GBA Oktoberfest in Vietnam and to spread unique German cultural values ​​throughout the country.

This year, GBA Oktoberfest will not only take place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City as usual. For the first time, the festival will be held in the beautiful coastal city of Da Nang.

Ms. Dao Thu Trang, Member of the Board of Management, Head of Business Development Strategy Consulting, AHK Vietnam shared: GBA Oktoberfest 2023 - one of the most anticipated events of the year in Vietnam, aims to introduce traditional German culture as well as promote cooperation and exchange between Germany and Vietnam.

According to her, this is a great opportunity for the German business community, Vietnamese businesses and international businesses in Vietnam to meet and exchange with each other. This will promote cooperation and further development and solidarity between Vietnamese and German businesses.

Mr. Steven Peter, Executive Chef of JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi, affirmed: This year's festival will explode with the re-enactment of one of the biggest festivals on the planet as well as the unique German culture and the combination of Beer - Cuisine - Music.

This year’s festival will continue to bring the vibrant Bavarian festival atmosphere with explosive moments from the performance of the famous O’zapft band from Germany and Austria. In addition, traditional dishes prepared by German chefs, along with a wide choice of premium German craft beers and other non-alcoholic drinks.

All will be served throughout the festival nights. Not to mention the lucky draw program will bring attractive prizes never before seen. Therefore, GBA Oktoberfest 2023 promises to be an outstanding German cultural festival season with many interesting and unmissable experiences of the year.

The world's largest beer festival began as a party to celebrate the wedding of King Ludwig of Bavaria in 1810. The whole city of Munich attended and the tradition continued for many years. From then on, Oktoberfest was born as a unique event with a joyful atmosphere, bustling music, delicious food and countless valuable activities.

For over 30 years, GBA Oktoberfest has become an annual event introducing German culture and traditions to Vietnamese people, while also serving as a bridge to promote exchange and cooperation between Germany and Vietnam.

GBA Oktoberfest 2023 will take place in Hanoi from September 28-30 at JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi; in Da Nang on October 6 at Furama Resort Danang; in Ho Chi Minh City from October 12-14 at Hotel Nikko Saigon.
