The event attracted the participation of many young people from China and ASEAN countries. The program was co-organized by the Southern Financial Media Group and Huya Live Group, with the coordination and support of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Guangzhou.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Consul General Nguyen Viet Dung expressed his belief that the music exchange, discussion and cultural promotion activities within the framework of the ASEAN Youth Exchange Program this time will make a practical contribution to promoting people-to-people exchanges between youths of ASEAN countries and China. This is also a valuable opportunity for young people to exchange and learn from leading experts, and these experiences will be very useful in the journey of pursuing art of each young person in the future.

The Consul General emphasized that the RisingZ contest was held in Vietnam at a very special time, because 2025 is both the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations and was also chosen as the "Year of Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange". The Consul General expressed his joy that the Rising-Z contest attracted the participation of a large number of young people, and selected outstanding and typical faces to participate in the final round in Guangzhou this time.

The program has brought about opportunities for music exchange and learning for the youth of the two countries in general and between Vietnamese youth and Guangdong province in particular. The RisingZ competition has sent a meaningful message about “Gen Z constantly rising”, and also depicted the important role of cultural exchange, when the music bridge has crossed the borders of geography and language to connect young souls with enthusiasm and a desire to rise. Therefore, this is a practical activity to implement one of the “6 more” orientations to promote Vietnam-China relations, which is to build a “more solid social foundation”.

The Consul General affirmed that he will always accompany Chinese agencies and organizations, and the Consulates General of ASEAN countries in Guangzhou to carry out youth exchange activities in the coming time, contributing to fostering the good traditional friendship between the Vietnamese people and the Chinese people and ASEAN countries.

Ms. Luong Boi Tran commented that Sports is a universal language that transcends all words, so the Organizing Committee believes that the significance of this important sporting event lies not only in the breakthroughs and glory on the stadium, but also in the exchanges and resonance outside the stadium. The Exchange Program will promote friendship to continue to be nurtured, developed and sublimated, and sports and culture will become a strong bond between the youth of the Greater Bay Area and ASEAN. The Organizing Committee hopes that the spirit of the Games will not only spread to the youth but also breathe new life into the exchange and mutual learning activities on music, culture and sports between the Greater Bay Area and ASEAN countries.

Professor Han Yonghui assessed that cooperation between the Greater Bay Area and ASEAN is gradually being upgraded, from purely cultural exchange to development resonance, from traditional trade to comprehensive integration.

At the event, delegates also participated in a Dialogue program with the participation of professors from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and Foreign Trade, representatives of ASEAN students in Guangzhou, representatives of students from the National Conservatory of Music in Hanoi and famous Chinese composers and performers to share experiences and discuss ways to promote people-to-people exchanges through music and cultural activities.

On the same day, the final round of the Rising Z China-Vietnam music exchange competition was held, attracting the participation of many young people from Vietnam and China. The jury selected two champions from Vietnam and China with performances that excellently conveyed the traditional culture of each country, while also skillfully demonstrating the exchange and integration of cultures. These are also the GenZ cultural ambassadors - the generation that will continue to inherit and foster the Vietnam-China friendship in the future.
