International Fireworks Festival kicks off vibrant summer festival season in Da Nang

A sparkling summer will be lit up again by the Han River, with the return of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2023 (DIFF 2023) organized by the Da Nang City People's Committee in coordination withSun Group.

The Han River will continue to shine during the DIFF fireworks festival.

DIFF 2023 is the highlight event of the Enjoy Danang Festival 2023 program. This is also one of the biggest events of the "WOW Danang" program, part of the campaign to beautify the "WOW Vietnam" lands initiated by Sun Group nationwide.

Accordingly, DIFF 2023 is expected to take place from June 2 to July 8 at the fireworks stage on the Han River, with the participation of 8 fireworks teams, including 7 international teams (England, Italy, Poland, France, Australia, Canada, Finland) and the Vietnamese representative team from Da Nang.

This year, the theme of DIFF is “ World without distance” to honor the strong recovery of world tourism after the pandemic. Under this common theme, each team will have 20 minutes to perform fireworks displays according to the theme of each night agreed upon by the Organizing Committee.

The opening night of DIFF 2023 will take place on the evening of June 2 with the name "Peace for Humanity" and the opening match between the two teams Vietnam and Finland. The following nights will witness the competition between the teams: Canada-France (June 10) (Love without borders); Australia-Italia (June 17) (Conquering dreams); Poland-UK (June 24) (Dance of nature) and the final will take place on July 8 with the common theme name "World without distance".

The opening night and final of DIFF 2023 will also be broadcast live at 8:30 p.m. on VTV1, Vietnam Television.

This year, the DIFF stage will feature a modern, open-air style, with water music and designs depicting bright fireworks streaks in the sky. In particular, the stage will feature performances from artists from 25 countries.

High-tech systems will also be meticulously equipped to bring many surprises in both sight and sound to the audience.

With a modern stage design and brilliant fireworks displays between experienced fireworks teams around the world, DIFF 2023 promises to create emotional fireworks nights by the Han River, creating a special attraction for "Asia's leading festival and event destination".

The most recent DIFF 2019 event created a tourism fever in Da Nang both domestically and internationally, with nearly 1 million visitors coming to Da Nang during more than a month of the fireworks festival.

At DIFF 2023, Sun Group Corporation continues to be the enterprise accompanying the People's Committee of Da Nang City in organizing the festival as well as a series of side events.

Specifically, Mr. Binh said that this summer, Sun World Ba Na Hills will organize the Ba Na-Fairy Love Lantern Festival from May to September.

In the romantic space of Eclipse Square, visitors can explore romantic love stories from myths of countries around the world such as Korea, Thailand, India, Vietnam, China, Greece, Italy... Along with that are parades of hundreds of characters coming out of the magical world of Ba Na.

If you are passionate about festivals, you cannot miss the B'estival Food and Beer Festival from April 30 to August 31, taking you into the endless joy of delicious German beer, vibrant music and countless delicious dishes from international cuisines.

Connecting cross-national cultural values like the general theme of DIFF, “Ba Na WOW Festival - A world of fairyland without distance” will bring visitors to the world of cuisine, music and festivals of different countries.

Starting in April with the Songkran Thailand Festival, with water splashing, typical street food and vibrant Thai dances. Next is the Korean Cultural Festival in May and June, where visitors can experience traditional and contemporary cuisine, art and games that connect love and family in the land of Kim Chi.

July is the month of French culture, with the highlight being the 100th Anniversary of Ba Na Wine Cellar. A truly diverse and distance-free world is present at Sun World Ba Na Hills.

In particular, on the evening of June 3, singer Ho Ngoc Ha's Love Songs-Love Vietnam music tour will stop at Moonlight Square, Sun World Ba Na Hills, promising to create a special warm and romantic music night for Ha Ho's fans and tourists who choose to enjoy the magical beauty of Ba Na at night.

Asia Park will join DIFF 2023 to create a fiery and passionate summer for Da Nang, with a series of especially attractive cultural and artistic events such as M-Pack Festival and Street Food Carnival from May 20 to September 20, with diverse activities such as beer festival, Soju festival, KPOP dance, food carnival, traditional Vietnamese shows, extremely hot DJ parties every Saturday with the appearance of hot DJs such as Soda, Sura, GG.. or KPOP concert.

This year marks the 11th time DIFF has been held in Da Nang. Throughout its journey, the DIFF International Fireworks Festival has become a highlight event, making the city of the Han River the center of the festival every summer.
