The Titled Tuesday tournament attracted 675 famous players, all of whom had the title of Grandmaster or higher. Among them, there was the participation of many of the world's leading Grandmasters. Le Quang Liem played excellently, undefeated after 11 games, earning a total of 10 points with 9 wins and 2 draws, thereby convincingly winning the championship. Notably, he overcame strong opponents such as Grandmaster Parham Maghsoodloo (Iran) and Sunilduth Lyna Narayanan (India).

Specifically, in the match with Narayanan, Quang Liem showed his sophistication and sharp tactics when attacking directly, sacrificing the queen to checkmate his opponent with the rook on the 40th move, creating an impressive victory.

Nakamura, the tournament’s highest-rated player, finished second with 9.5 points (8 wins, 3 draws), including a draw with Quang Liem in game 9. Both players remained undefeated throughout the 11 games. However, Magnus Carlsen – the world’s number one player – unexpectedly withdrew after winning 5 games without any explanation.

With this victory, Le Quang Liem has increased his total number of Titled Tuesday championships to six, including two in 2025. Previously, on February 4, Le Quang Liem also won the championship with a perfect record of 11 wins. In addition to the $1,000 prize money, Quang Liem also rose to fourth place on the Titled Tuesday Grand Prix rankings with 91 points.

Titled Tuesday is a weekly online chess tournament organized by Chess.com, attracting the participation of famous players with a total prize of up to thousands of USD. This tournament is not only highly entertaining but also an opportunity for players to compete for important points, thereby winning tickets to the final round of Speed Chess Championship 2025.

Nakamura is currently leading the men's rankings with 94 points, followed by famous players such as Denis Lazavik and Magnus Carlsen. Quang Liem, with 91 points, is in fourth place. Meanwhile, Vietnamese player Le Tuan Minh is also in a position to compete, ranked 9th with 89.5 points.
