Leonardo DiCaprio, Margot Robbie and Fantasia Barrino
In television, the final season of Succession received the most nominations with a total of nine, followed by The Bear and Only Murders in the Building , both of which received five nominations each.
Two new categories were added this year: Achievement in Cinematography, Box Office, and Outstanding Stand-Up Comedy Performance on Television.
The Golden Globes all but disappeared after a series of investigations by the Los Angeles Times in 2021 uncovered ethical lapses and a complete lack of black members on the organizing committee, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), a group of international journalists who had voted on the Golden Globes since its founding in 1943. The fallout culminated in the HFPA's dissolution and Dick Clark Prods' acquisition of the Globes in a joint venture with Eldridge. By October 2023, the Globes' voting panel had reached 300 members, of whom 47% were female and 60% were multiracial.
