Top 40 contestants compete in the semi-finals and finals of Miss Universe Vietnam 2023.

Recently, the Miss Cosmo Vietnam organizing committee announced the 40 contestants who will showcase 40 outfits in a project promoting national culture. "With the theme 'Inspiration for the Future' and unique selection criteria, this project attracted over 200 entries. As a result, 40 outstanding designs that best meet the criteria of the Miss Cosmo Vietnam organizing committee have been revealed."

Accordingly, the Top 40 contestants will showcase these designs at the semi-final night - the national costume show - taking place in Da Lat City ( Lam Dong province) on December 26, 2023. The results of the performance will be based on a random draw by the designers," a representative of the Miss Universe Vietnam organizing committee shared with Dan Viet .

The Miss Universe Vietnam organizing committee also revealed the Top 10 most popular costumes ahead of the semi-finals and finals of Miss Universe Vietnam 2023, including: Sacred Soul of Vietnam - Tran Quang Khang; Fishing Festival - Tran Nhat Khanh; The Roar of Thang Long - Ho Le Ngan Ha; Four Sacred Animals - Le Nhat Quan; Flower Dance - Nguyen Anh Tuan; Flourishing Melody - Nguyen Hoang Minh Tien; Phung Ly Nu Son - Ha Huy Giang; Mother-of-Pearl Inlay - Ngoc Tu, Quoc Chung, Quang Thang; Cham - Le Minh Nhut; Five-Colored Sticky Rice - Nguyen Anh Tuan.

According to the Miss Universe Vietnam organizing committee, the Top 40 contestants and designers will discuss and brainstorm ideas for their national costume presentation in the semi-final round.

Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 final competition schedule

Following the semi-final night - the national costume presentation - the Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 final will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from 5 PM on December 31, 2023, and will be broadcast live on VTV3.

Regarding the reason for holding the Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 final on the last day of 2023, a representative of the Miss Universe Vietnam organizing committee shared with Dan Viet newspaper : "Holding the final night on the last day of 2023 makes the crowning moment of the new Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 more meaningful than ever. This is because it marks the transition to the new year, commemorating 15 years of Miss Universe Vietnam from 2008 to 2023. We believe that the start of the new year 2024 also marks the official beginning of a new era for Miss Universe Vietnam (Miss Cosmo Vietnam)."

Previously, the Miss Universe Vietnam organizing committee opened ticket sales for the Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 final on the evening of November 30th, a month before the event. There were four ticket categories with corresponding prices: Supervip (10,000,000 VND/ticket), Vvip (2,800,000 VND/ticket), Vip (1,500,000 VND/ticket), and Platinum (600,000 VND/ticket). "Immediately after sales opened, Supervip tickets quickly sold out. This shows the appeal and interest of the beauty pageant community in the Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 final," a representative of the Miss Universe Vietnam organizing committee revealed.

At the Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 final, the organizers will award the titles of Miss and First Runner-up to the two most outstanding beauties in the Top 40. It is known that the Top 2 of Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 will earn a ticket to compete in international beauty pageants. In addition, other special awards within the framework of this competition will be announced at the Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 final night.

Speaking to Dan Viet , Mr. Tran Viet Bao Hoang - Head of the Organizing Committee of Miss Universe Vietnam - explained the reason for only selecting the Top 2 Miss Universe Vietnam 2023: "We want to make it easier for the audience to remember, and at the same time contribute to 'reducing the burden' of titles."

In my opinion, a prestigious competition is one that produces winners and runners-up who have their own unique standing and career paths, and whose names are memorable. Each year, more winners and runners-up emerge, so we focus on the Top 2 of Miss Universe Vietnam. Because whether or not they have the opportunity to compete internationally, they will have the chance to develop their own careers."
