On the evening of January 18, Nguyen Van Tuyet culinary street in Dong Da district (Hanoi) officially opened, forming another cultural and culinary address of the capital Hanoi.

The culinary street space stretches from the intersection of Tay Son Street (at house number 298 to the intersection of Yen Lang Street at number 53); the street length is 840m, the width of the road and sidewalk is from 10 - 12m; the total usable area is 2.84 ha.

The street operates from 6pm to 12pm every Saturday and Sunday. During this time, motor vehicles will be banned from Nguyen Van Tuyet Food Street to reserve space for pedestrians to enjoy food, cultural and artistic activities, etc.

Due to lack of parking space, outside the restricted area, vehicles are forced to park in the alleys connecting to Nguyen Van Tuyet street.

Delivery people have to choose to leave their vehicles outside and walk in to pick up orders because they cannot move in by motorbike.

However, after the first evening of operation, there were still many vehicles moving and parking inside Nguyen Van Tuyet street area, posing many potential traffic safety risks on a street crowded with pedestrians.

Because of the ban on vehicles, many diners are hesitant and choose restaurants outside the street area. The number of diners eating at the beginning of Nguyen Van Tuyen Street, which is not in the food street area, is very large, causing frequent traffic jams on the street.
