The event, which took place right before the 33rd SEA Games (Thailand), was a valuable opportunity for Vietnamese table tennis players to gain experience. This morning, December 3, the two teams met, exchanged expertise and got acquainted with the training space.
The first training hours took place in an open but professional atmosphere, giving Vietnamese athletes the opportunity to approach the modern, disciplined and fast playing style of a table tennis background with a strong European tradition.
The General Secretary of the Vietnam Table Tennis Federation, Mr. Nguyen Nam Hai, said that tomorrow, December 4, the two teams will enter a friendly match in many events. This is the "sprint" of the Vietnam table tennis team to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games.

The goal of the Vietnamese table tennis team at the 33rd SEA Games is to win at least 1 gold medal. The mixed doubles event, in which Dinh Anh Hoang and Tran Mai Ngoc won the 32nd SEA Games, continues to be the team's number 1 hope. In addition, the players are still determined to advance in the singles events, although according to the new regulations, each country can only register a maximum of 2 athletes for each event.
The President of the Vietnam Table Tennis Federation, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Vu, said that the table tennis team’s preparations for the 33rd SEA Games had begun early and were now almost complete. The whole team was ready for the upcoming goal, aiming for a stronger breakthrough in the future.
