From the night of December 3 to the early morning of December 4, heavy rains occurred in several communes in the province, causing landslides and localized flooding. During the night, the provincial armed forces mobilized to vulnerable areas to support people in responding to natural disasters and evacuating people and property to safety.

The Command of Defense Area 1 - Duc Trong said that the unit has mobilized nearly 200 officers and soldiers, including regular troops and militia, to deploy to many key points such as D'Ran Pass, Village 3 of D'Ran Commune; villages of Don Duong Commune (Da Ron, Nghia Lap 3, Nghia Duc); Ka Do Commune (Suoi M'Rang); Dinh An - K'Long area (Hiep Thanh Commune); 5 villages of Nam Ban Commune (Lam Ha); Lac Xuan 1 Village (D'Ran) and Thanh Binh 2 Village (Dinh Van Lam Ha Commune).
The police and local authorities coordinated to evacuate people and property, overcome landslides, provide vigilance, and regulate traffic; and used rescue boats at deep flooded areas. Up to now, no human casualties have been recorded. Monitoring and recovery work continues to be maintained regularly.
The Defense Command of Area 3 – Bao Lam said it had mobilized more than 50 officers and soldiers to help overcome the landslide on Gia Bac Pass, National Highway 28 (through Son Dien Commune). The force also organized traffic regulation, ensuring safe movement of vehicles through the landslide area.
At the same time, local coordination units urgently evacuated households living in areas at high risk of landslides in Son Dien commune to safety.

In the southeastern region of the province, the Defense Command of Zone 5 - Phan Thiet has directed the Military Command of Song Luy commune to coordinate with forces to quickly evacuate households in deep flooded areas to safe places. Units continue to closely monitor the development of floods and maintain a state of readiness to support and rescue when the situation becomes complicated.
Faced with the complicated developments of floods and rains, the Lam Dong Provincial Military Command has directed the Regional Defense Commands, Infantry Regiments, Border Guards and Mechanized Reconnaissance Companies to maintain a high state of readiness in terms of forces and equipment, promptly supporting localities in responding to natural disasters. The Head of the Provincial Military Command requested units to effectively promote the motto of "4 on-site", "3 ready", ensuring that people do not lack temporary shelter, go hungry and organize the evacuation of people to safe areas.
In addition to mobilizing response forces, the Provincial Military Command also mobilized many vehicles such as military trucks, boats, canoes, etc. to increase support in vulnerable, high-risk areas and deeply flooded areas.
The Provincial Military Command maintains a 24/7 hotline to receive rescue information; organizes forces on duty at key points and proactively develops rescue plans. At the same time, the unit ensures adequate food supplies and maintains absolute safety for the people in all situations.
