The answer will be available at a live exchange with poet Nguyen Quang Thieu, chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association, on December 5, organized by the Vietnam Education Publishing House (NXBGDVN) with the theme "From reading to writing - The journey of language development".
Here, readers will have the opportunity to interact directly with poet Nguyen Quang Thieu about the role of reading in nurturing children's thinking and language skills.
Poet Nguyen Quang Thieu will discuss with readers and parents the issue of reading culture today. Why are children less and less interested in books? How are children's language and imagination affected by the digital environment and modern life, and how can we build sustainable reading habits right from the stage when children form linguistic thinking?
With experience in writing, researching literature and many years of working in the field of developing reading culture, poet Nguyen Quang Thieu will bring new but practical perspectives, helping parents understand their role in accompanying their children through the pages of books.

The highlight of the session is the practical suggestions for parents. Poet Nguyen Quang Thieu will share his experiences and methods to:
- Turn reading into fun: guide parents on how to choose books suitable for their age and interests, turning reading time into "golden hours" to connect the family.
- Develop writing skills: Encourage children to express their thoughts and feelings through writing diaries and writing short stories.
The power of imagination and freedom
To clearly demonstrate the encouragement for children to write their own stories and record their worldview , the event will introduce to readers the Papelucho series by Marcela Paz, a famous Chilean female writer.
The Papelucho series published by NXBGDVN consists of 12 volumes, telling everyday stories from the innocent and delicate perspective of Papelucho - an 8-year-old Chilean boy - naughty but humorous, imaginative, emotional and kind-hearted. He records all his thoughts, experiences and secrets in his diary, thereby forming a classic children's literature work, warmly welcomed in Chile and many other countries.
Author Marcela Paz has created a character that is not stereotypical, idealistic “good child, good student” but is as real as any other child in real life – knowing how to be angry, knowing how to argue but always longing to be loved and understood. The special thing about Papelucho is the diary form – close, easy to read, inspiring children to write their own stories.

With a lively, natural and unpretentious writing style, Papelucho has made many readers exclaim: “I feel like I am reading the diary of a real child”. The series promises to open up a familiar world, where childhood is seen as it really is, children’s thoughts are respected, and at the same time become an inspirational companion of Vietnamese children.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh, General Director of Vietnam Education Publishing House, shared: “Papelucho, with its diary format and vivid characters, will be a valuable companion to Vietnamese students, inspiring them to write their own stories.”
The Papelucho series is a wonderful example of how, when children are encouraged to freely write and imagine in their own words, they can create authentic and vivid stories.
In particular, on this occasion, the first three volumes of the Papelucho series are also available at the FAHASA Bookstore system. Parents and children can visit the FAHASA Bookstore system to start an inspiring and memorable reading journey together and update the progress of the release of all 12 volumes.

For families and book lovers
Through the exchange with poet Nguyen Quang Thieu, NXBGDVN believes that this event is not only an exchange, but also an opportunity to re-evaluate the importance of nurturing the soul and language of future generations through the pages of books.
In addition to the exchange activities, the organizers also arranged a game area for children. They will enter the world of Papelucho, an 8-year-old boy, innocent, mischievous, with a love for reading and taking notes. Here, they will be suggested and challenged with their observation, memory and judgment skills through the journey "Decoding Papelucho's Diary". With interesting challenges and many attractive gifts, this will definitely be a meaningful festival, creating opportunities for parents and children to explore together, together and keep happy moments.
The event promises to attract a large number of parents, book lovers and those working in culture and education.
