More than 1 billion VND to support disadvantaged students in the Central region

On the afternoon of December 3, Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the "For Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Club coordinated with the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City and the Da Nang City Youth Union to organize a program to award Vu A Dinh scholarships and "For Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Club scholarships to students in the area.

Scholarships are awarded to students with difficult circumstances, overcoming difficulties in studying, children of officers, workers and employees of Navy Region 3, Coast Guard Region 2 and Fisheries Control Squadron No. 3.

On this occasion, Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund cooperated with donors to award 300 scholarships for the 2025-2026 school year to ethnic minority students, students from coastal and island areas in Da Nang City and Quang Ngai Province. Total value of 300 million VND.

In addition, the accompanying businesses also presented 265 gifts (each gift included 1 backpack and 10 notebooks) to the students with a value of nearly 80 million VND.

Receiving the scholarship, Nguyen Hoang Tuong Vy (grade 12/3 student, Son Tra High School) said that the gifts from Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the "For Hoang Sa - Beloved Truong Sa" Club are a source of spiritual encouragement, motivating students with difficult circumstances to excel in their studies.

"The care and sharing of you, aunts, uncles, and benefactors helps us overcome current difficulties, study well to become useful citizens," Vy said.

Many ethnic minority and disadvantaged students are supported to go to school.

According to Ms. Truong My Hoa, President of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, Head of the Club "For Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa", in addition to scholarships to help students go to school, the Fund and Club also maintain projects to care for and accompany students with especially difficult circumstances, from taking care of food and accommodation, to tuition fees, clothes, etc., so that they have the best learning conditions.

It is known that on this occasion, the Vu A Dinh scholarship program and the "For Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Club scholarship will be awarded to students in Hue City, Da Nang City, Quang Ngai Province, Gia Lai Province, Dak Lak Province, Khanh Hoa Province; and children of officers and defense workers of the following units: Navy Region 3, Coast Guard Region 2, Fisheries Control Squadron No. 3 and Khanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard.

A total of 1,010 scholarships will be awarded, with a total value of more than 1 billion VND.
