From 6 a.m., under the drizzling rain, officers and soldiers of Air Force Brigade 918 were present at the airport, urgently checking preparations, loading and unloading goods, ready to depart to carry out the mission according to the orders of their superiors.

At exactly 8:15 a.m., the Casa jet aircraft with registration number 8902, commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dac Quang, Deputy Squadron Leader, Chief of Staff of Squadron 1, officially took off from the runway. Around noon, when the plane landed at Da Nang airport, all the goods were transported by officers and soldiers of Military Region 5 and the Air Defense - Air Force to the assembly area. According to the plan, today, Air Force soldiers and other forces will use helicopters, trucks, and canoes to cross the flood to supply flood victims in Da Nang city, Hue and Quang Ngai province.
