The contest was launched by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in March 2025. After 4 months of implementation, the preliminary round attracted nearly 1.2 million students from nearly 8,700 educational institutions to participate, with more than 528,000 entries from primary school students, 463,000 entries from middle school students, 155,000 entries from high school students; with the participation of 18,652 university and college students, 11,677 students in the armed forces and 124 entries from the Vietnam Association of the Blind.

From that result, 519 excellent entries (including 404 articles and 115 videos ) were selected for the national final round.

Individuals in the Army won the "Reading Culture Ambassador 2025" Contest.

Among the total number of prize-winning contestants, the Army continued to make its mark with many outstanding individuals being honored: Comrade Hoang Anh Tai, a student of the Political Officer School, won the title of "Outstanding Reading Culture Ambassador"; Comrade Truong The Ngoi, a student of the Political Officer School, won the Second Prize; Comrade Dang Hong Phu, a student of the Engineering Officer School, Engineering Corps, won the Third Prize; Comrade Pham Cao Long, a student of the Naval Academy, Navy Corps, won the Third Prize; Comrade Nguyen Huu Tuan, a student of the Information Officer School, Communications Corps, won the Encouragement Prize.

Along with the candidates' achievements, the Military Library was awarded the "Best Organizing Unit of the Preliminary Round" by the Organizing Committee.
