Candidates have 10 days to register for the exam.

According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, by April 28, Hanoi's high schools had completed providing candidates studying in grade 12 for the 2022-2023 school year with accounts and passwords to access the Exam Management System. Candidates have 2 days to try to register for the exam online on the Exam Management System (QLT) immediately after being given an account and password until April 30. After the trial registration period for the graduation exam (from April 26 to 30), the trial registration data has now been deleted.

Candidates need to note to register for the high school graduation exam within the prescribed deadline on the exam management system of the Ministry of Education and Training.

On May 4, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training officially announced that from May 4 to 5:00 p.m. on May 13, candidates will officially register for the 2023 high school graduation exam. In particular, candidates need to keep their account information and password confidential to log into the QLT system from the time of registration until viewing exam results and considering recognition of high school graduation. To keep information confidential, upon receiving the account and password, candidates should immediately change the password. In case candidates forget their account and password, they can contact the registration unit to reissue them.

To register for the exam, candidates need to pay attention to where they register for the exam. Accordingly, candidates who are studying in grade 12 in the 2022-2023 school year, candidates register for the high school graduation exam online. For independent candidates, candidates who have completed the high school program in previous years but have not yet taken the high school graduation exam or have taken the high school graduation exam in previous years but have not yet graduated, register for the exam at the high school where they studied in grade 12. Candidates who have graduated from high school; candidates who have graduated from secondary school and want to take the exam to get the results for admission to university, college of education; candidates who have graduated from high school and register for admission to university, college of education by other admission methods without going through the exam (called independent candidates who have graduated from high school) must register at the Department of Education and Training of the district, town, and city where the candidate resides.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training requires the registration units to be responsible for guiding candidates to prepare documents to declare on the High School Graduation Exam Registration Form on the software (for candidates registering online) or fill in the Registration Form (for candidates registering directly) with complete and correct information. Candidates are also guided to review the registration documents for high school graduation recognition to ensure the accuracy of information, especially information on priority areas for extra points (if any); consider and decide on the candidates' exam conditions, absolutely do not accept invalid documents. At the same time, guide candidates to declare on the information software to enjoy priority in university and college admissions; review the information declared by candidates and the documents and evidence submitted by candidates.

Candidates are fully responsible for the information declared on the system.

One of the points that candidates need to pay attention to before filling out the Registration Form is to carefully read the sections and instructions for filling out the form. If there are any unclear points, they must ask the Registration Officer for full instructions. Candidates are fully responsible for the information declared in the Registration Form. When registering, candidates must declare to ensure the accuracy of information about the province code, city code, high school code... according to regulations. To enjoy regional priority, candidates who have a permanent residence (during high school) for more than 18 months in region 1 or a permanent residence (during high school) for more than 18 months in a particularly difficult commune when registering for the exam in section 5 of the permanent residence must check and enter the time that the candidate resided during high school.

Regarding registration for combined exams/component exams: Candidates studying in grade 12 in the 2022-2023 school year can register for only 1 combined exam (Natural Sciences or Social Sciences) to be considered for high school graduation recognition; independent candidates under point c, clause 1, Article 12 of the Examination Regulations can only register for component exams in the same combined exam. After the registration period ends, candidates are not allowed to change the information about the registered exam/subject.

For the Foreign Language test, candidates can choose to take one of the following 7 languages: English, Russian, French, Chinese, German, Japanese, Korean. Candidates can register for a foreign language subject other than the foreign language they are studying at high school; candidates who are continuing education students can register for the foreign language test to get the results for university and college admission.

Candidates who are students in grade 12 will fill out the online registration information using the account provided on the QLT system. After completing the review and confirmation within the prescribed registration deadline, the high school where the candidate is studying will print the Registration Form, Form No. 1, Form No. 2 and sign and stamp a seal with a border on the photo of the Registration Form to confirm the candidate's identity.

Candidates fill in the necessary information on the envelope containing the Registration Form, Form No. 1 and Form No. 2 (the information must be the same in all corresponding sections on the envelope, Form No. 1 and Form No. 2) and submit it to the place receiving the exam registration with a copy (photocopy) of the ID card/CCCD on 1 side of an A4 sheet of paper and 2 new 4x6 ID card/CCCD photos taken within the last 6 months (with full name, date of birth written clearly on the back of the photo, these 2 photos are contained in a small envelope). In addition, 1 more photo must be pasted in the designated position on the front of the Registration Form bag. The police of the commune or ward where the candidate resides will sign and stamp a seal with a border on the photo of the Registration Form to confirm the candidate's identity. Candidates keep Form No. 2 to receive the Exam Notice and Certificate of Exam Results. In case of errors in the exam registration information or loss of the Exam Notice, candidates must bring this Exam Registration Form directly to the registered exam location at the meeting to disseminate the exam regulations to request correction of errors and complete the exam procedures.

The Ministry of Education and Training said that people who do not have a high school diploma or have a secondary school diploma who are taking the exam to graduate from high school or use the high school graduation exam results as a basis for university or college admission must fill in all items on the software. People who have a high school diploma or a secondary school diploma who are taking the exam to use the high school graduation exam results as a basis for university or college admission only need to fill in items 1 to 15 and items 24, 25, 26, 27 on the software.

Depending on the time, when logging into the QLT system, candidates can know the following information: Registration information (feedback on errors if any on the QLT system no later than May 19); High school graduation recognition information (feedback on errors if any on the QLT system no later than June 6); Exam notice; exam results; High school graduation recognition results. After 5:00 p.m. on May 13, 2023, candidates are not allowed to change information about the registered exam/subject, so candidates need to carefully check the exam/subject before saving the Registration Form.
