This event marks the collaboration between the Italian Embassy, the Italian Trade Office, and MM Mega Market to bring to the Vietnamese public premium food products and ingredients imported from Italy.

In his opening remarks, Italian Ambassador to Vietnam Marco della Seta affirmed: "We decided to organize this special week-long event every year to promote Italian culture and cuisine to the public in Vietnam. We believe that food can tell the story of a culture's heritage."

Most Italian dishes reflect the characteristics of the Mediterranean region, resulting in relatively simple preparation methods that focus on naturally sourced ingredients such as tomatoes, olives, green vegetables, and grains. This makes the cuisine of the "boot-shaped country" one of the healthiest in the world .

Each dish is prepared minimally and usually contains no more than 10 ingredients, common components include tomatoes, olive oil, herbs, or wine. However, to create authentic Italian dishes, the most important thing is that the ingredients must be of genuine Italian origin.

According to Fabio De Cillis, Head of the Italian Trade Office, Trade Promotion Department of the Italian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, Italian cuisine is characterized by "slow eating," so Italians always prioritize healthiness in every aspect of a meal.

"We want to spread healthy eating habits to the public within the framework of the 8th Italian Food Week in Vietnam. Through the cooperation between the Italian Trade Office and distribution partners such as MM Mega Market, Vietnamese people will have easy access to quality products imported from Italy," emphasized Mr. Fabio De Cillis.

Mr. Fabio De Cillis stated that this year also marks the second year that the Italian Trade Office in Vietnam has organized this event in collaboration with Mega Market as part of the Italian Food Week taking place worldwide.

This event also featured chef Cam Thien Long, who directly demonstrated the preparation process of Italian dishes to the enthusiastic audience. Many typical Italian dishes such as Panna Cotta, Spaghetti, and Parma Ham were also prepared so that participants could experience the "Flavors of Italy" in the most visual way.

In order to promote healthy Italian cuisine to Vietnamese consumers, a range of imported products from Italy have been introduced and displayed at MM Mega Market, making them easily accessible to consumers.
