According to NDTV , flight AA-3023, operated by a Boeing 737 MAX 8, encountered a technical problem at around 2:45 p.m. on July 26 (local time) right before taking off from Denver to Miami (USA).
The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said the plane reported a problem with its landing gear, leading to a fire and heavy smoke on the runway. Immediately after that, the 173 passengers and crew were ordered to evacuate urgently.

Images from the scene showed people sliding down the emergency slides amid billowing black smoke and flames rising from the landing gear. Airport emergency response teams and the Denver Fire Department responded and brought the fire under control around 5:10 p.m.
One person with minor injuries was taken to a medical facility for observation. Five others were treated at the scene and did not require hospitalization. American Airlines confirmed that the plane had a “tire-related maintenance issue” and said the aircraft had been taken for inspection.

All passengers were evacuated safely, but a video from the scene that went viral on social media has sparked a wave of criticism. In the video, several men are seen sliding off the plane with a child in one arm and luggage still clutched in the other.
Some people were even carrying 2-3 backpacks, and some people stumbled and fell on top of a child as soon as they hit the ground. That moment made many people angry, believing that in such an emergency situation, passengers should have left their luggage behind to ensure the safety of their children and those around them.
"If you're still trying to carry your luggage and your child like that when the plane is on fire, I don't know if your priority is life or belongings," one social media user wrote. Many other comments called this behavior "irresponsible" and "selfish."
However, some people also expressed sympathy, saying that these passengers may have panicked and acted on instinct, not fully realizing the danger.

This is the second time in less than half a year that Denver International Airport has recorded an aircraft fire. Previously, in March, an American Airlines Boeing 737-800 en route to Dallas (USA) also suddenly caught fire.
All 172 passengers and six crew members were safely evacuated. The FAA said it is continuing to investigate the specific cause of the latest incident, focusing in particular on the technical condition of the landing gear and the airline's maintenance procedures.
