Heavy rain in the North, over 200mm in some places

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from this afternoon and tonight (August 23) to tomorrow night, the Northern region and Thanh Hoa will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 50-100mm, some places over 200mm.

From August 25, heavy rain in the Northern region tends to decrease.

The meteorological agency noted that thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rain and widespread heavy rain may cause flooding in low-lying areas and the risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas.

Meanwhile, today in the area from Thanh Hoa to Ninh Thuan there is hot weather with the highest temperature of the day 35-37 degrees.

On August 24, the weather forecast from Ha Tinh to Khanh Hoa is hot with the highest temperature of 35-36 degrees, some places over 36 degrees. The lowest relative humidity is 55-60%.

Hot weather in the Central region is likely to last until about August 27-28.

In the Central Highlands and the South, the weather pattern will be sunny during the day, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening, locally with moderate to heavy rain, and cool at night.

Southwest wind level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Da Nang to Binh Thuan

Cloudy, sunny during the day, hot in the north; showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night. Southwest wind level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
